due to the heat it was unbelievable hot in the room, couldn't sleep that well
Very homely local. Food and beer very good. (Recommend the English Oak Real Ale, 4.8%). The location was a bit out of the way but this was my choice. A car is needed to get into Abington. The Inn sits almost on the platform of Culham Station, part of the Chiltern line. It's busy but you wouldn't know they were there unless deliberately listening. Room numbers were Platform 1, 2, etc. And they have a lovely big friendly dog.
My room was in the attic and upper flight of stairs were narrow and steep. The En-Suite was clean but a bit tired. The ceiling jutted into the room at various angles so had to be careful not to bump my head.
Typical country pub, landlady friendly and helpful. Location convenient for our stay. Really pleased to have a fan in the room as the weather was hot !! Although right next door to railway station, we were not disturbed by noise of trains

Nous étions proche de la gare, mais pas de problème de bruit par le train. Personnel sympa mais chambre moyenne mais propre hormis la salle de bain. Pas de bonde dans le lavabo plein de cheveux. Nos amis ont dû venir prendre leur douche dans notre chambre car pas d'eau dans leur douche. Nous avons fait deux autres hotels dans cette gamme de prix qui étaient bien supérieurs. repas simple ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Nous n'y reviendrons pas

Pub smelt, pillows were split, trains run through the night so you can't sleep.
Perfect location for a visit to Pendon museum, the pub actually exists on the model. Proper unspoilt country pub with a good drop of ale.
