Perfect Village Escape
Pros:

Loved our stay here. The village is quaint and quiet, the accommodation felt like the idyllic Mediterranean escape you'd expect - surrounded by oranges and bougainvilleas in a rustic yet modern surrounding. The bed was super comfortable, the apartment had all the mod-cons and the area, pool etc. were all clean and well cared for.

The owner was also super useful and a great chat. He made us fresh mandarin juices and omelettes in the morning, making it feel like a home away from home. A shame we came during Covid so we couldn't enjoy the tavern next door, but all the more reason to come back.

Everything is within a 10-20 minute drive whether you're yearning mountain walks or seaside.

Thank you for having us, and for anyone reading, highly recommend!

Authentic, peaceful, friendly , comfortable,
Pros:

What a fantastic authentic Cypriot stay. If you want shiny and plush don’t come here - what you get is a fantastic welcome, a quaint comfortable rustic room overlooking the peaceful small village with windy cobbly paths, rickety doors and beautiful flowers- it is like arriving on the mamma Mia set! Finding it in the dark during a thunder storm was tricky and one of the roads leading from the main road to the village is not suitable fir cars (well it was to start with but became a rubble track!) (we turned around and took the second road which was much better!) The main pool looked ok - we didn’t use it as we only stayed one night. Breakfast was continental and nice. Staff friendly and helpful (we arrived at 1139pm in a storm and was met with a smile!) As I say, only come here if you want a true Cypriot village location and accommodation with lace curtains, creaky shutters, character furniture and peace! Go to the big towns if you want holiday inn style rooms and clubbing!

Amazing location, great tavern, lovely yoga!
Pros:

We had an amazing short stay! The location is very relaxing, the tavern great value for money and the room had a nice balance of tradition and comfort. All staff members were polite and accommodating. I was very pleased with the option of drop-in yoga classes, with a lovely yoga teacher, in a beautiful studio. The tavern chef made a quick lunch for us, although we were outside of their kitchen hours and they even catered for gluten-free diets. We think we will be back for a longer stay at some point!

Cyprus at it’s best!
Pros:

The setting was lovely. Tochni is a very small traditional Cyprus village with 2 tavernas and a small shop. There are other villages and a harbour within only a few miles, and the scenery is beautiful. Our accommodation had very comfortable beds, and a small basic kitchen, which also was the seating area - no actual lounge in our apartment! There was also a courtyard or balcony. Really good buffet breakfast in a lovely setting, but you have to drive there if your accommodation is set in the actual village, and not by the main reception and restaurant. Away from the hustle & bustle of the tourist towns, which are still easily accessible.

Pros:

Had winter retreat in this village. Met less people than cats. Historic village surroundings were lovely. Personal car was useful to visit tavernas and stores few km away. Local tavern was closed, store open. NB! Pictures provided with this offer don't show rooms they give out. Rooms are basic but with all conveniences. Everything was clean inside the accommodation. Staff was friendly.

sehr nette Unterkunft
Pros:

Das Apartment hatte alles, was man so braucht (inkl. gutem WLAN).

Pros:

The overall property is visually stunning but if you look closer you'll see flaws everywhere., it needs a lot of upkeep. The rooms are fine but things like the landscaping and overall cleanliness could be better. I think hiring a full time gardener/handyman/pool attendant would be a very good investment,

Soggiorno tranquillo e gradevole

Charmingly rustic apartment with wonderful views
Pros:

We loved the apartment which had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Towels were changed several times during the week. The breakfast provided was amazing with every possible type of food you could wish for, both hot and cold. Staff were friendly and efficient. Well run operation. We arrived very late about 1 am due to flight being delayed. We had a mobile number to call and a staff member met us and took us to our room, despite reception being closed. The apartment would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are a lot of steep steps. The plus side of this is the views from the balcony. Air conditioning in the bedroom worked well and was certainly necessary in July.

Living in a village country
Pros:

We lived in a lovely appartment at the top of a hill, that meant climbing up a lot of stairs. The view from the balcony was great, the rooms with antique furniture were clean, the small kitchen had all we did need. If you want to make an individual experience you are here at the right place.

Echtes Dorfleben
Pros:

Special place for special people
Pros:

We were four families and stayed for a week at Cyprus villages.
We had a wonderful time!
The village is beautiful, the rooms are tidy and very clean. Each room has a kitchen. Most of the rooms have a private swimming pool.
The service was very good!
the food is oriental ( there are few good taverns in the village)
Just be ready to climbe a lot...

Nice location but in need of an overhaul
Pros:

The village of Tochni has a number of old village properties converted into holiday accommodation, operated by a company called Cyprus Villages. One of the properties, Vasilikos house, is well-located although access would be problematic for those with mobility problems. Our accommodation - larger than envisaged - was fairly basic but comfortable, clean and offered a pleasant terrace with views over the village towards the sea. Beds were very comfortable and airconditioning was effective. Hot water provision was fine. Breakfast (good also) is taken at the Tochni Tavern, the hub of the operation, which involves a walk down into the village and then up a fairly steep incline (part steps) to the Tavern itself. Dinner is also available here (in my view there are better places to eat in Tochni, in particular Nostos taverna, next door to Vasilikos house, which is excellent). My complaint overall is that Vasilikos house and Tochni Tavern need some refurbishment and replacements. There appear to be no umbrellas around the pool at Tochni Tavern, for example, and precious little shade. Windows and walls need a lick of paint, One of the sunloungers on our terrace was seriously torn. I do wonder if the owners (not in evidence during our stay) are particularly bothered with ongoing upkeep. Which is a shame, because in many ways this is a decent place to stay, in an attractive village away from the built-up coast..

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful views
Pros:

We had a quiet few days at this hotel/accommodation. It is part of a complex of apartments, spread out throughout the village of Tochni. About 15 minutes' drive from Limassol, this place combines the quietness for a relaxing getaway, with the benefit of being close to a big city/resort if you want to. Also close to the mountains, some interesting archaeological sites. The rooms/apartment could do with a bit of looking after, but the overall view/ambience of the place (stone built, on a hill, lovely balconies with beautiful view, peaceful and lovely) compensate for that. Good restaurant attached to it, as well, with nice views and very good food
