A perfect base for exploring Medan with a very warm Sumatran welcome.
Pros:

We used Medan as our base, travelling out to other areas of Sumatra so stayed at the Travellers Suites on 3 separate occasions.

The hotel is well situated, 45 minute drive from the airport (and that takes into account Medan's nightmare traffic!).

We had a suite which was perfect for our family of four - two adults and two teenage children. We had three good size rooms which meant everyone had their own space. There were also two showers and toilets, which again is useful when travelling as a family.

The lounge area was huge with a small kitchen area (which we didn't use).

Our first night there we ate from the room service menu, there was a good choice of food but it is a little on the spicy side for those who don't like hot food.

The breakfast, which was included, was excellent - a really good choice of options from local food to omelettes and cereals.

What made this hotel, for us, was the staff. Everyone at the hotel was so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. On our first morning we met the Marketing Manage, Teguh, who introduced himself and gave us his card telling us to contact him if we needed anything. We had an issue with our credit card which meant our final stay was cancelled - a quick WhatsApp to Teguh and he sorted a room for us.

Cons:

If I am being picky, in places bits of the room are a bit tired - shower curtains not fitting properly, leaky showers, loose door fittings etc. but that was it, nothing that caused us any issues or spoilt our stay.

Pros:

I like the space, it is big, even it is very old. Location in the middle of the City.

Cons:

The cleanliness was poor , very old furniture and tear down. No microwave, the shower drain is blocked. The breakfast quality is very bad, The food is cold. Including the chicken, tofu etc. Not enough parking lot as well. It is not worth for 1.75 million rupiah per day.

Great place
Pros:

Great facilities in the apartment if you were staying a while

Cons:

Smelled badly of smoke in the communal areas and lifts but we are used to the UK so I guess we are fussy about smoke

Goede bar aan de overkant van de straat en makkelijk bereikbaar

Cons:

Beenharde bedden, mooi gekuist maar overal kleine beestjes (vlooien, luizen?). Verouderde kamer en beperkt ontbijt.
