The property need a serious renovation, Aircone capacity didn’t fits the room size which makes it really long time to cool the room….toilet seats cover was loose which was really annoying…head shover wasn’t adjustable….breakfast buffet was all the same for the whole week which is a disappointment…

There were mosquitos at the lobby area.

Other than that it was fantastic, the Conceige were fantastic

Not clean enoght and services check in very very slow

Rooms were clean but for a 4 star motel you couldn’t flush toilet paper down toilet and the service to fix it the man was rude. Reception desk very friendly. Fridge didn’t work and no safe 😢

First we got there and wanted to check in, receptionist was not smiling. So we got impressions that they're not friendly. Once we got to our room, carpet was dirty, there was not any towel, and our bathroom's ceiling was leaking. So we had to ask for someone to check it. There was not any good intention from the hotel to move us to another room. It took them around 20-30minutes to fix the leaking, which it should be done BEFORE they checked guest into that room. When we asked the room boy for bath towel and face towel, he replied that we dont get face towel because we stay at standard room, face towel only for guest that stay at deluxe room. Friday night, live music from their restaurant at upper level couls be heard from our room and it stopped at 11PM. Smoking guest at the non-smoking area in the restaurant and none of the staffs seem like bother to say something to them. Until I asked one of the staffs to warn them because it's so annoying.

Stayed 5 nights in this hotel for visiting relatives and friends. Nice location as very near relatives house & town centre.
The staff were very kind, polite & helpful.
The concept of the hotel is very good as breakfast served at roof top but the staff at cooking counter during breakfast doesn't know how to cook as we were served very oily but cold sausages & yucky omellette.
Quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the room as the blanket smells, carpet looks like never been vacuum before, towels were old, shower head was about to fall of & full of stain.

Nice clean hotel with friendly English speaking staff. The room was very spacious and had an incredible view - the only drawback was the sun would heat it up during the day but the aircon helped cool it down. Food was good and there is a functioning restaurant on the terrace. The views were awesome from the terrace. Breakfast was good too. The one drawback of this hotel is its location on Jalan Permuda. There's pretty much nothing else around the area unless you walk a few blocks to the north. Good value for money though!

Coming to Medan after a long road trip from the airport, you expecting a good reception from the hotel staff. But NOT at HERMES Hotel. Since payment fully paid NO SUCH additional requests permitted. Asked for adjoining rooms (as we booked 2 rooms), was turn down. Asked for late check out till 1500 (as we had stayed for 3 nites in 2 rooms), was turn down.

Food was not good at all. We had the breakfast, because it had been paid for. I really regretted for choosing this Hermes Hotel.

Then there was this hammering noise (due to renovations) at 2300 hours. What the hell? What was the hotel management thinking? Hello ... you know people trying to sleep at this time.

For those planning to visit Medan, please choose other hotels to make your trip more meaningful and enjoyable.

I really like this hotel.The service is good . The room is clean. The breakfast is marvelous and we can enjoy it at the top floor of the hotel with reasonable price. I shall stay here again for the next time I come to Medan

Many local food around the hotel. Near to the famous tabona (curry noodle), the breakfast from hotel isn't too bad either. Room is quite small with no window though, but quite clean and decent for my 2 nights stay.

I did concern for the room service performance (operator, etc..), taking some time to pick up the phone and not quick action to deliver what have been requested.
