Motel 6 Saint George, SC – I-95

Super fast check in. Room was clean and the bed was soft. There is a gas station right next door which was convenient. Literally the only negative things were that there was not much light at the sink area and the toilet was tiny. Like toddler sized. Good value for a quick stop off the interstate for the night.

Next time I may ask for a bigger bathroom. I'm limited in movement. That would be great. But the beds comfort almost makes up for that.

Thank you to the staff for being so helpful! For a weekly stay I was offered a better rate. The sheets did not need to be changed on a daily bases, once a week is good!

They don't pretend to be a high-end hotel. But they get darn close. The staff seems to have pride in their work. Which is a rare thing today. The room was clean the staff is friendly the bedding was comfortable the mattress was a Ten.

If you have other options, don't stay here. We had to wait outside the office to check in after midnight. This place was extremely basic and shabby. The room smelled terrible, including linens and pillows. The toilet was extra small and it was hard to get on and off.

Room was recently remodeled with new beds, dressers, vanity area, flooring and bathtub/shower combo. Vanity area had an awesome lighted mirror. The beds were comfortable with new pillows. Pet fee was only $10. Very satisfied with the condition of the room, customer service and location. Easy on/off of Interstate 95.

When you see excellent ratings at a 2 star motel. It's a bit suspect. Truth is that deserve that rating. Everything from soft closing drawer, soft lighting at the lou. An EV station on the grounds. And a friendly staff. Lights in is serious about staying on top

One star is too many. Here's why:
A room at this motel usually costs $50-$60/night if booked online. I did this and paid $52. One week later, I went there without a reservation and was charged $82.00, for the same room I had before.
They advertise one price and then add up to $30/night when you pay on arrival. They know that people would rather pay more than look for another place to stay, especially if it is late and they are tired (like me).
The online rates is advertising and tells people about the property and what the actual or approximate rates are. Adding up to $30 to the online price is false advertising and price-gouging.
It's a classic "gotcha" scam.

Booked this room as a resting spot on a long trip,room was ready even though showed up two hours early,but it needed some extra cleaning once arrived,staff was nice to handle issues,it was a smokers room,but didn’t stink,hotel is decent,but needs some attention to cleanliness .
