From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. A maximum of one child under 2 years is allowed.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Unser Zimmer hatte kein Fenster nach draußen, d.h. auch kein Tageslicht; die Frühstücksjreationen waren z.T. eher ungewöhnlich.

Bell'hotel coloniale vicino al centro storico
Pros:

Splendido edificio coloniale ben restaurato e arredato con mobili d'epoca, con parquet scuro, il tutto molto suggestivo. La mia camera singola era piccola ma molto accogliente e "vera". Pulizia impeccabile. A dieci minuti di cammino dal centro storico, in una strada appartata e silenziosa. Staff della reception giovane e simpatico.

Cons:

Wi-Fi lentissimo e instabile. Servizio colazioni approssimativo e servito da cameriere svogliate e impreparate. La "piscina" è poco più di una pozzanghera all'ombra. Antipatico dover lasciare un deposito di 100 RM che poi viene restituito al check-out.

非常有特色，建筑的历史和陈设都别有韵味，酒店客服也非常周到，提供的物品非常有质量

Cons:

室内的楼梯高低不一，对我家老人有些困难。 床与床之间若有围帘略作隔断会更适合， 毕竟有男有女。

Pros:

The Museum Hotel is in a lovely, restored colonial building with a good restaurant and very helpful staff. Our 1st 3 nights were in a good-sized room overlooking the street in front. That room we would rate as a 9+.

Cons:

Because we decided to extend our stay in George Town, we booked a 4th night separately (at basically the same nightly rate as our original room). Big mistake. The room we were given was barely big enough to fit the queen bed; the window opened to a small light shaft (not big enough to be an atrium); & the room smelled a bit and was noisy from a horizontal drainage line under the bathroom. Not worth the $$$.

All rooms are two-storied. Bedrooms on the upper floor, while bathrooms and living area on the lower windows. Might be inconvenient to people with mobility issues

Condition rundown, even room with bare minimum, upon checkout still need to inspect the room before releasing the deposit, there's no trust at all. Bad breakfast.

as baba nyonya decendent i love the ambience of the hotel and plus im staying with my mom who is 71 yo and we got a comfortable room im grateful for that and the lady receptionist was really nice to accommodate our every need

perhaps for next customer who book the 4 bedded and staircase room should be pre imformed of the existing staircase inside the room.. as per my experience - my moms triends who are female 71 year old 4 of them need to climb the staircases and with the heavy suitcase this could be hazards in the future-- and off course appreciate the lady receptionist who worked on 31 jan and 1st feb who attended our needs and tried her best to switch room for my moms elderly friends tak dpt tukar bilik tp her vibes her smiles and her gestures boleh la sejukkan hati tq adik manis

Wonderful traditional hotel with feeling of old style Penang
Pros:

The hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere and old school feel. We had a spectacular room - enormous and wood floored with a huge bathroom and luxurious four poster bed. Felt like stepping back in time to the 1900s. The whirlpool bath was a nice added touch. There is a small roof terrace which offered a nice place to sit outside removed from the hustle and bustle of the streets.

Immer wieder !!
Pros:

Das Hotel hat seinen ganz besonderen Charme, was es für uns zu einem wundervollen Ort gemacht hat.
Das Zimmer war mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Es bot für die Preiskategorie ausreichend Platz und ein bequemes Bett ( diese Kategorie wird bei längeren Asienreisen und steigendem Alter scheinbar immer wichtiger;)).
Das Frühstück ( á la carte) war fein und ausreichend.
Wir konnten fussläufig alles gut erreichen und dank der Lage alles etwas entspannter genießen.
Einzig die allnächtliche Anlieferung von was auch immer, zwischen 2-3 Uhr ließ uns senkrecht im Bett sitzen
