Hotel Vincci Valdecañas Golf

This hotel and golf course just has to be seen to be believed, it is absolutely spectacular. From the staff, the bedroom and balcony, bar, dinner (we’re on half board) breakfast it’s all excellent but the golf course is sensational. We’re only here for two nights so just played the course the once but it is a really enjoyable course, quite up and down so I’d recommend a buggy unless you’re super fit and very young and the views from the course across the lake are breathtaking.

Potential to be a nice hotel but not tourist friendly, none of the staff spoke any English and weren’t very welcoming or nice. Beautiful grounds but a lot of the surrounding buildings on the property look desolate
Breakfast buffet very minimal, not replenished and not worth the high price for it

Drove from Lisbon to arrive on the island, a beautiful and grand arrival sequence crossing the causeway on a tree lined avenue.
So! Was expecting more from the hotel overall. The welcome was very average as well as the rooms, amenities and service (with exception of one young lady in the restaurant). The hotel commands a fantastic position, although poorly oriented, against an impressive lake, however there is no access to the lakeside, we tried but ended up walking over builders debris. The general condition of the building and definitely the landscape was very poor. The pool was closed despite the temperature being 35 degrees when we arrived. The surrounding villas have been vandalized and the place is generally a complete mess. It is such a huge shame because this place and hotel could be absolutely outstanding, but unfortunately isn’t anywhere near what its position demands.

WIFI doesn't work. Water tastes bad and has a lot of chlorine. There isn't enough light in the hallways. The location is far from everywhere.

Away from everything - almost didn’t think we were in the right spot but a beautiful place to stay. Bed was super comfortable and under cover parking was free which was rare for Europe.

I’m sorry but the photos are a con the pool is green and beach is closed. Hotel was nice enough but we went expecting a lovely pool etc but it is in need of repair. How does this hotel get a trip advisor award in 2024 when the last review was in 2023 😱 just needs updating and remove the pool etc

Era una propiedad impresionante, no fuimos a jugar golf. Las habitaciones eran espaciosas y tenían excelentes vistas del exterior. Personal y servicio excelentes. La cafetería tiene vista al embalse. Parking facilísimo en propia garaje.

Staff were exceptional, good food in restaurant and reasonably priced too. Set in a very beautiful area

Ideal para una escapada y cambiar de aires, el hotel esta muy cuidado y todo el personal fue muy amable.
Hotel moderno, habitaciones con terraza con muy buenas vistas, camas muy comodas.
La piscina ideal.
La comida del restaurante muy buena.
Una pena que el pantano tuviera poca agua, pero dada la sequia que hay, es de esperar.
