The Riverside Inn

Ideal for Thames Path walkers with a splendid garden overlooking the start of the navigable Thames. Chances are you'll get here early after the relatively short walk from Cricklade, so enjoy the bar and food offerings in the spacious pub building.
The room was a comfortable twin with everything you need for an overnight stay, while being across the car park from the pub itself, so noise was not a problem. If you're thinking of making an early start in the morning for the longer stage to Newbridge, better to get a bacon roll from Budgens on the High Street, as breakfast is from 9am.

No hot water for 3 days so I checked out early.

Really lovely location and the stay was excellent. Room was clean, high-end toiletries provided. Friendly service and good food at the pub. Would recommend.

It was good, although the floor covering in the bathroom could do with replacing and we had problems connecting to the internet at times.

We absolutely loved our stay was perfect for the kids we are already planning on coming back. The staff were lovely and helpful

It was by the river and a short walk to town. My single room was good, plenty of tea and coffee!!

The room as great. Another fan in the side bed area would be nice as it was so stuffy due to lack of air flow. Some mold in the shower area.

The location was very nice. The room was clean and well presented. Unfortunately there was zero soundproofing between rooms therefore we could hear all conversations, tv, shower, toilet flushing and unfortunately snoring all night from next door.

The service in the restaurant was particularly poor on one occasion when we had the cheek to ask for chips with the lasagne rather than garlic bread. I was told in no uncertain terms how garlic bread was cheaper therefore we couldn’t get chips, despite the other meal we ordered having chips with it, so all that was required was to throw a few extra in the fryer. They need to work on their customer service.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but didn’t sleep anyway due to the constant noises from next door, not to mention the bin lorry arriving early morning right outside the window which faced the car park.

Tinny bathroom, very old, not clean, unpleasant smell

Stayed 2 nights at the riverside inn room 1a was spacious and very clean. Large shower with instant hot water. Very comfy bed and very peaceful and quiet. During our stay the weather was 26° and it was great to sit by the river enjoying the food. We had visited a few years previously just for a drink and had promised we would return and stay. It didn't let us down and we will return in the future.

The inn overlooks the river very peaceful. Checked in went good.You park right on the property. The room was clean. The Staff was friendly and helpful with all our questions. Thanks for the Great Stay.

Wasa lovely place clean n moden but on day 2 the hot water stopped working could not shower told manage
