Pros:

Chincoteague is not on the ocean and not a beach resort.
It is laid-back and (mostly) affordable. The hotel is on the
harbor creek. Next door is a good seafood restaurant.
Lodging and breakfast were excellent.

Cons:

Booking made through Booking.com was NOT honored. It could not be found
on the Marriott system. Instead a new registration at the hotel had to be made.
The desk clerk found the Booking.com record but not its record on the Marriott
guest register.

Unexpectedly Disappointed!
Pros:

The staff was fantastic & the hotel location was convenient for getting to activities in the area.

Cons:

My room had an ant infestation. The front deak was notified & a maintenance employee was sent to my room with bugs spray. The problem waa alieved only temporarily. And my accessible room lacked a handheld shower in the bathroom although a shower chair was provided. It only had a standard shower head. The lack of a handheld shower with only a shower chair in an accessible bathroom poses a serious safety hazard! The front desk advised no other accessible rooms were available.
I've requested a credit to be issued to the card used to pay for my reservation because of these issues but haven't heard back from Booking.com. Paying almost $1k for my stay & for this to be my experience is unacceptable. I was told because I didn't book directly with the hotel that a credit issue would have to be resolved with Booking.com. I have pictures & videos!

Lovely hotel, with a peaceful view.

Expensive and not distinctive in any way.
Pros:

The room and bathroom were clean and spacious and the location of the property was excellent. Also, the 24hour coffee service at the reception was great.

Cons:

The pool was more or less symbolic in terms of size and breakfast was literally basic. Location too was on the waterfront but the room didn't have a great view.

Overpriced but very nice stay
Pros:

Room extremely clean and beds very comfortable. Lovely view of the bay. A bit pricey.

Cons:

They didn’t clean the room until I asked twice - then said there was a note indicating not to clean the room, which made no sense since I never requested that.
