Carménère eco Hotel

A very small boutique hotel located in a very nice neighborhood in Santiago, near a large park, and convenient for going downtown. Very friendly staff. The complementary wine glass was great, although a bit too generous. Nice garden to hang out after a day in the city.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay in Santiago. It is located in a quiet residential suburb, yet within a safe walking distance to San Cristobal mountain and close to amazing cafes and restaurants. The staff, particularly Michaela (in the morning) could not be more helpful. The hotel is small only having 5 rooms which allows for a personalised experience. The courtyard out the back provides a serene and casual place to unwind and enjoy their red wine selection. The hotel has an emphasis on organic and eco friendly practices which is nice to see and the breakfast selection is all organic. There is an open snack section as well providing fruit and teas. I truly appreciated the safety aspect of the hotel as Santiago has a reputation of theft from tourists. We walked to the mountain and then caught the hop on hop off bus to view the city (without hopping off). Great restaurants around the suburb too and safe to walk around.
The only word of warning if booking is that the hotel is wonderfully restored and has creaky floor boards, which adds to the atmosphere. There is one unit on the bottom floor and we were afraid that our walking around the room upstairs may have kept the person underneath awake or woken them up.

Fantastic personal service from the staff. They couldn't have been more attentive, making our stay feel like we were staying with friends. The garden courtyard available to guests is a very relaxing sanctuary enabling guests to unwind and chill out. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and well appointed ensuits. Breakfasts are fantastic, with a large range natural food to cater for all tastes. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic little gem in Barrio Italia. Everything about it was amazing from the rooms, breakfast and the very friendly staff. We walked to all the main sights - pleasant through the parks, and plenty of choices to eat nearby.
The hotel was clean and quirky and we really enjoyed our welcome wine. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Carménère Hotel was first class. It's a small intimate hotel and that was its charm. It was located in a safe neighbourhood a short walk to many restaurants. The staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was home cooked, the best we have enjoyed in a month of travels in South America. Highly recommended.

I want to live here! Beautiful hotel, fabulous breakfast. Loved the little courtyard, which is open 24/7. There's even a wine cellar with a little tiny sauna. Amazing place to be pampered, definitely coming back.

Very comfortable small intimate Inn with character. Excellent Breakfast as well. Close to many museums and attractions. Quiet neighborhood away from the hustle of Santiago. Staff was very attentive. Interesting courtyard for relaxing and dining. Highly recommended.

This was a great stay in this hotel. After a day in the busy town , we stayed 3 nights, this was every time a very relaxing, quiet and nice play to stay in the hotel on the terras. Staff was fantastic and breakfast and the snacks we took were outstanding

A lovely quiet hotel in Santiago with a secluded patio to rest and relax after discovering Santiago. Staff are lovely & helpful. Local neighbourhoods nearby to explore for food and local life. Would recommend for someone wanting a quiet place.

Friendly and efficient staff, clean and quiet, and excellent breakfast. No problem accommodating earlier breakfast time. Hotel is located near vibrant Barrio Italia with many restaurants and bars close by. Note that our room did not have AC but was not an issue for us as air circulation was adequate and we spent no time in the room until evening.

Charming place with v very friendly and accommodating staff. The outdoor garden was quiet - perfect for a cuppa or a glass of wine. The breakfasts were delicious and the 24hr tea/coffee bar was refreshing.
We were walking distance to wonderful restaurants and other Santiago attractions such as Cerro San Cristobal.

Very nice classic small hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Lovely patio/outdoor sitting area and indoor living room for reading or visiting. Very helpful staff. They nicely accommodated us the day we checked out but had to wait for an evening flight.

This is an amazing 5 room boutique hotel. The staff knows how to take care of you. The breakfast each morning was fabulous, and you can sit inside or out in the back garden.

The hotel is very small and the service was wonderfully personal. Our room opened to a courtyard where we could have breakfast. The location was terrific, close to many restaurants. The checkin and checkout process was simple and they helped us with everything.

An oasis in a bustling city. Great location and felt right at home.

This is a small, comfortable and beautifully decorated hotel. The garden/patio is lovely and fully accessible. Our room opened directly onto a private patio in the garden--lovely. A generous, delicious buffet breakfast is included. Our stay was a little unusual as my husband was recovering from broken ribs. We can't say enough about how helpful and supportive the staff was. Many thanks to all the staff! Lots of shops and restaurants withing walking distance.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the enclosed back yard and patio area so much. The meals we had eating out on the patio were delicious and having French pressed coffee was so fun and good.

Our hosts were gracious and very helpful in recommendations for area restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
