Very grateful for the kindness and patience exhibited by Cyrus and Fabian; a part of the valet team while, at our stay at the Hotel Flor. They were amazing in communicating and provided excellent service.
We were there for the Jennifer Hudson/Josh Groban concert, which was awesome btw! We have stayed at this hotel one time before, and I will tell you this is one of the best hotels in Downtown Tampa, a SLEEPER. It is not waterfront, but location is perfectly fine to everything one would want to do in Downtown Tampa. We did take the complimentary shuttle to the concert (a wife hair consideration!), but then did an easy walk back to the hotel after. The facility is magnificent and perfectly in line with what is represented by the Tapestry Collection brand under the Hilton umbrella. Also, service was exceptional, beginning and ending with the Valet staff, the Front Desk team during arrival, the two ladies working Cass Street Cafe, and ending with a checkout with AK, who was extremely cordial and followed up as discussed with my final folio. The room we were in was outstanding. A 4.6 rating on TripAdvisor is an excellent representation of the overall experience and testament to the fine job this TEAM does in running an excellent hotel! Great job and thank you!
The Hotel Flor is our go to when attending an event at the Straz Performing Arts Center, walking distance away. Rooms and staff are excellent, and we always enjoy our pre-theatre dinner in the hotel's restaurant, The Dan. Special shout out to their superb valet parking team, especially Cyrus and Anthony.

Anthony S and Cyrus are absolute rockstars! From the moment we pulled up, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. They got our car parked and retrieved super fast — no waiting around at all, even during a busy time.
What really stood out was how warm and conversational they were. They made us feel genuinely welcome with easy, friendly chat that put us in a great mood right away. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do and take pride in great service.

Lack of amenities. No pool or spa, not ideal location
We chose Hotel Flor because of it’s proximity to Benchmark Arena. We were greeted promptly and professionally by Cyrus, who gave us all the information we needed to get our weekend rolling! We were extremely impressed with everything about the hotel. The room was fantastic! We will definitely return!!
LOVE the historical vibe with the old key boxes and mail slots, mixed with all the modern comforts. Had a great experience in the restaurant as well.
Only suggestion...Need to get all 3 elevators up and running again. The one elevator on a Sunday morning led to some pretty lengthy delays.

The hotel, the room, the staff and the young men who Valet park my car, were all very professional, courteous and kind. Especially the valet Parker attendants, I left my coffee on their stand and didn’t even hear them correctly, yet They were so kind. They even helped me with my luggage. I will come back here each time I need to stay in Tampa. Absolutely loved it.

I got to Tampa early and had time to do some exploring and my shuttle driver Ulises Torres was beyond helpful sharing so many good spots and he was great about communicating pickup times and all of the ways I could enjoy Tampa while I was here! He made my trip so much more enjoyable and was so professional and kind.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Flor in downtown Tampa before a cruise. We needed vital medical supplies sent to us at the hotel in order to make the cruise. The supplies had to stay at room temperature. The hotel desk clerk, Nicolas, was invaluable help. He stored the supplies, which were delivered before our arrival to the hotel, exactly as needed so they would be ready upon our arrival. With such an outstanding employee who goes above and beyond regular duties to solve a customer problem, were I a manager, I would reward him generously, promote him often, and do anything short of self-incrimination to keep such a valuable jewel.
Kudos also go to the van drivers, who although restricted to a three-mile radius from the hotel, were prompt, mannerly and personable. They took us to local restaurants and the cruise port. It would be good for future customers to know that the hotel van does not drive to the airport, which is seven miles from the airport. We found getting a taxi from the airport easy enough upon learning this. We made an assumption that if they went to the cruise port, they went to the airport. That was our mistake, not the hotel's.
The hotel bellboys also should be commended. This is an historic hotel and the lobby has grand staircases. The bell boys got our 14 boxes of medical supplies and 5 suitcases down elevators and to the van to the cruise port. Oh yes, and they did get us, as well as other passengers and their luggage, aboard the van and off to the cruise port too.
We give 5 stars to Hotel Flor Tampa for a pleasant stay and super service. If in Tampa again, Hotel Flor would be first on our list.
