I’d avoid this hotel. There are much better options in Tampa. Service standard is no better than a limited service hotel. Water pressure is comical (really difficult if you like washing shampoo out of your hair) and of the 3 elevators, only 1 works….which leads to 20+ minute waits for the elevator. The reception desk said every day of my stay that “management is aware of the problem”, but evidently they’re not inclined to address it. It was my own fault for booking - this hotel is notoriously poor but the pictures make me think new ownership invested in it, but I was wrong. I hope this review deters others from making the same mistake.
Location is about the only redeemable quality about this place.
Hilton should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this property. The place is borderline uninhabitable. One functional 5x5 elevator in a 19 story building, air conditioning hardly works (thermostat says “clean filter”), no ice on any floor, dirty bathrooms, all for $600 a night. If this wasn’t the only remaining available room in the area this weekend I would’ve left after check in.
The front desk was very friendly and helpful, so this is no reflection on them, but the property is an absolute dump under the guise of “historic”. If you want comfort and amenities that you’d assume come with a $600 a night hotel, do not stay in this glorified Fairfield Inn.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The staff is incredibly friendly and always goes the extra mile to make sure guests are happy. Cass Coffee was my first stop every morning—thank you, Sophia, for all of the cold brews! The matcha there is also excellent.
The hotel has beautiful architecture with a charming vintage feel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I also loved the food and lively atmosphere at The Dan. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely come back.
What a glorious stay at this restored property. Real attention to detail to make your stay memorable. The rooms were spacious, sparkled in the light, and remodeled with beautiful bathrooms, fine amenities. Ask for a corner room on a high floor - very nice. The Dan Restaurant and Bar has a wonderful vibe - with no expense spared at restoring this period hotel! Gorgeous lighting, staff was courteous and helpful. You can feel the pride in this wonderful property. The food was excellent, the bar menu and Happy Hour very nice and generous. I cannot wait to return to this great property. There is a free shuttle that transports you anywhere in a 3 mile radius. Downtown Tampa is a real gem for exploration.
Had a great stay at the Hotel Flor. Room was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and lobby was very lovely . Great having water in the lobby at all times but would have liked coffee in the lobby early in the morning as well. Wish they would have told us we needed to ask for housekeeping to be done. We needed coffee pods and fresh towels and had to get them from the front desk since we were not serviced daily. All in all though, I would definitely stay there again
Front desk clerk, Abu was fantastic during our stay. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding area. He took the time to share helpful information and great suggestions for things to do, which made our visit even better. Excellent service and a genuinely great guy!
Our stay was great! The room was nice and personalized to us. The shuttle was a life saver and an added perk we didn’t even know about! The service was amazing and Nicholas specifically was so nice and helpful throughout our stay. I don’t usually write reviews but his service was just so good I had to make sure he got credit for his work!!
We appreciate the attentiveness Stefany and Gabby have given us during breakfast at The Dan Restaurant. They go out of their way to make sure our breakfast experience is pleasant. They have made our stay enjoyable here in Tampa.
Sofía At Cass Street Cafe was extremely kind when taking our breakfast order.
She is very knowledgeable with the ingredients in the sandwiches.
Really like her approach.
Will be back !
The turkey croissant was delicious .
Sophia at the Coffee Cafe was amazing! She was so kind and attentive even though she was so busy.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Disappointment is an understatement.I stayed here over Valentine’s Day weekend and deeply regret my choice. For $400 a night, you expect basic hospitality and a place to sleep—I got neither.
Hostile Check-in: I called ahead to confirm a late check-in, yet the valet was incredibly rude upon my arrival. He tried to block me from entering, insinuating I wasn’t a guest and demanding a room key before I had even been allowed to check in.
Safety & Noise: At 8:00 AM, maintenance began drilling into the brick wall directly outside my window. My 6-month-old baby was sleeping in a crib inches from that wall. The noise was so deafening that when I called the front desk to complain, I couldn't even hear the staff member on the phone.
Clueless Management: The front desk had no idea work was even being performed. It’s unprofessional and careless to book guests—especially those with infants—in rooms adjacent to active construction without any warning or courtesy.
Save your money. There is a total lack of internal communication here, and they clearly do not value their guests’ experience.
Sophia in the coffee shop was a delight! Answered questions, made a great coffee and the perfect amount of pleasant conversation on a stressful morning!
We had an amazing experience w Stepany. She was sweet and very attentive. We appreciated the conversation and connection. Wonderful!
The problem with the hotel is that I have been trying to obtain some information from the hotel regarding a booking for Oct 2026. I sent emails to the email address on the website and all 3 were returned as "non deliverable". I found two generic emails on the internet and these were returned as undeliverable mentioning a recipient server problem. Undeterred I contacted Hilton Honours who gave me another email for the hotel - this didnt get a rejection but nobody acknowledged, replied or sent any information. I therefore sent a letter about 3 weeks ago asking for the same information. I havent heard anything back on the letter either. I didnt think the information request was difficult or too involved so its disappointing (poor) that its so difficult to get in touch with the hotel. Another hotel in downtown Tampa provided similar information within 3 hours.
Beautiful, clean room. Nicholas at the front desk was so kind and welcoming. Food at the restaurant, delicious. Big shout out to Nicholas, keep leading the way!
Nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to the Riverwalk, close to the Tampa Wall Postcard. The Dan Restaurant on the main floor.
Excellent hotel, very clean, room was large and comfortable and very clean. Ideally located for everything. Small restaurant for breakfast considering the amount of rooms. We waited an hour to get breakfast
Very nice, comfortable hotel. The amenities were nice. Staff was excellent. The gentleman that drove the shuttle. Mr. Torres was fantastic.
We had an outstanding weekend for my son’s wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful. I would like to recognize Miguel and Jhon the valets who not only took care of our vehicles but helped us transporting all our wedding supplies in addition to our luggage. They went over and above for us!!
