good place to escape city center
Pros:

we decided the stay in the room with sea view with a lot of ducks all around, cute !!. the hotel room is clean and good, the bed is fit and comfy and prepared facilities inside room is ok. we can take a walk next to the sea and we can see MONA museum from the pier nearby. it is just 20 mins to hobart city center.

Ontzettend ruime kamers, rustige locatie die top is als je op doorreis bent. Vooral het restaurant verraste ons in positieve zin. Lekker eten voor een goede prijs!

Cons:

Het ligt direct aan de weg en dus wat afgelegen, voor ons was dat top omdat we op doorreis waren.

Don’t have a car accident, as it’s not their problem, but thanks for your money 😁

Nothing this time. I have stayed here 2 or 3 times before. All comfortable for what we needed and the meals were good at the time.

Cons:

I had booked here and this site/app look full payment a couple of days before arriving. On the way to Hobart that morning I had a car accident which wrote the car off but no one was hurt or injured. After getting organised with police, insurance, tow truck and a lift home, I rang Riverfront Motel to say that we would not make it to Hobart because of the accident. Apart from asking if we were OK, they replied that there was nothing they could do about a refund because I had booked it through Booking.com and if I wanted a refund, I had to apply online. So my question is, DID Riverfront get their payment for that room . . . yes, of course they did, at least a percentage. Did they get to charge someone else for that room if someone needed it, probably if they were busy. My take on this, they did not loose out on anything, they got payment, maybe got double if the room got booked that night. I came away with an experience that I wouldn’t want others to have. It wasn’t much expense for the room but I lost far more. And I will never forget this.

Pros:

Location was great

No bowls plates or even a knife or fork
Left over soap bar on window ledge in bathroom
Neighbours were yelling at each other while 1 was in the shower which wasn’t the hotel fault but at 7.00 in the morning wasn’t a great wake up call
