Sunshine Hoian Hotel

Hotel staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location of hotel is good and could get a Tuk Tuk into centre of Hoi An if you don’t want to walk. Pool was great addition. Breakfast was good choice with omelette station an added bonus. We did our laundry here ( very cheap) and it came back very quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunshine Hotel in Hoi An and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive.

The staff truly make this place special—everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, from local recommendations to transportation arrangements.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with daily housekeeping that was done perfectly. The location is also excellent—quiet enough to rest well, yet close enough to the Old Town and major attractions to get around easily.

Overall, Sunshine Hotel offers amazing value, genuine hospitality, and a truly welcoming experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An.

What a joy to find a wonderful hotel to stay in for 3 nights . Could not fault the place . Lovely room and such friendly staff , fan and air con in room and a lovely pool to cool down in , great quiet location

My wife and I have just spent 3 weeks at the Sunshine. It is one of our “go to” hotels each year when we holiday in Hoi An., being well priced and in a good location between the Old Town and beach. Both are a cheap Grab ride away, or can easily be reached using the hotels free bicycles - just make sure you pick a well maintained one, with functioning brakes. To walk to the old town takes about 15-20 mins. There are also some good restaurants in close proximity, as well as small convenience stores. Our Superior room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool itself is a really good size, clean, has plenty of lounges and umbrellas, and benefits from the afternoon shade. During our stay, occupancy levels were quite low and breakfast was understandably limited to a la carte on all but a couple of days. As we chose to have breakfasts at a nearby cafe this didn’t worry us.
The only minor negative was the electronic safe in the room wasn’t working properly and we had to use a key, which was a bit fiddly. We also experienced a similar problem last year.
Special thanks to Phuong, Yen and Chong at reception for making us feel so welcome once again. Hope to return next year.

We stayed at Sunshine Hotel for 3 nights , staff were amazing and we really like the location. $3 in cab (20 minute walk) to downtown Hoi An and $6 in cab to the beach area.

Use WhatsApp for the taxis that were clean , tidy and had air condition.

Great coffee shop opposite (Bro Coffe) and also amazing Restaurant called Tin Tin.

Rooms were clean tidy and did the job well.

Lovely hotel. Great restaurant across the road. Good pool and breakfast. We stayed 3 days. Staff so lovely. Rooms clean and spacious. Nothing too much trouble including a breakfast on leaving at 5.30am. Great option!!

Family feel hotel with excellent breakfast and lovely pool. Convenient location with spas, banks, mini marts a short stroll away. Tin Tin restaurant across the road which is also great. We relaxed here and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We were well looked after by a very obliging staff. Yen, at the front desk is a real asset.

Sunshine hotel is in a nice quiet location within easy walking distance of the Old Town and provide bicycles for 2k ride to the beach. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included too and was really good. Nice swimming pool at front of hotel is private. Reception staff are very helpful and have lots of good recommendations. Good restaurants are Tin Tin (virtually across the road) and Claypot around the corner.

Loved our stay at this hotel.Rooms were large and clean.The air conditioning worked great.The ladies at front desk were amazing the set up our transportation from airport and laundry.The morning buffet had a wide variety of food to chose from including staff made eggs. The pool was beautiful and they had bikes you could use to get around.

My partner and I adored this hotel, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's far enough away from the busy town centre of Hoi An to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, which was much appreciated after the buzz of Hanoi. The room was spacious, clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool (though unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to swim). There are restaurants and cafes in easy reach, and it's also a short walk to the town centre, and a little further onto to Hanoi Old Town but all doable by foot, rickshaw or tuk tuk. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. There is also a massage and beauty therapist onsite, and a laundry service - all at very reasonable prices. The staff were amazing, they simply couldn't do enough for us.

We spent three nights here in a large clean room with a balcony. The location was excellent with a beautician, laundry, restaurant, the best lantern making shop etc across the quiet street. It was like we were a part of the local community for a few days, with the children coming and going. Also all of the locals were friendly and offered great advice e.g. it is bad luck to buy one lantern, it has to be an even number. The ladies at the desk were exceptional and I feel terrible that I have forgotten their names, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They went out of their way to help e.g when I was waiting across the street for the beautician but nobody seemed at home, one of the girls noticed and came over and found that she would be back in five minutes as she was buying school books. The son came out and gave me a seat and water. All the advice they gave us was spot on and they were honestly the best hotel staff on our entire Vietnam/Cambodia holiday.

Stay here for 3 nights in August.
Perfect stay. Staff were accommodating and very helpful; and all of them spoke excellent English.
They helped us to plan out what to do in Hoi An and booked tours for us to make the most of out time there.
There is also a lovely outdoor pool and indoor pool table to chill within the hotel.

They also offer a free breakfast which has lots of choice available and a quick laundry service for 50,000 per KG which is reasonable.

Wonderful hotel with lovely helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice pool. Free bikes to use to get around. Our flight wasn’t until late in the evening and despite having to check out at 12pm we were allowed to use the bikes, pool, shower and towels which was really helpful :)

I read about this hotel in my travel book, it more than lived up to my expectation.
When we booked we were taking the train from Nha Trang so wouldn’t arrive in DaNang until midnight, which left us a 45 minute journey to Hoi An, the hotel arranged a car to pick us up, and despite the lateness someone was waiting to show us to our room.
The hotel is perfectly placed 2km to the beach and a 15minute walk to the old town, they have free bikes which we used to go to the lovely beach, just remember to take money for the bike storage charge.
Buffet style breakfast with additional choice of something cooked.
The staff were very attentive and could not have been more helpful, we only stayed 2 nights, but this is definitely a place to stay longer.

Absolutely loved staying here! The room was very clean and fresh, it also had a bath which was great. The balcony overlooked the pool which was nice. The staff were very friendly and assisted with laundry, airport transfers and renting bikes for free each day. The hotel is a 15min walk from the centre but with the bikes takes 5 minutes. Would definitely recommend!
