The view was great, as expected and advertised. The staff was also very helpful from the beginning to even after checkout. The onsen is nice and very modern, with DHC amenities which is a nice bonus.
They had ran out of cakes when we visited the all day dining/salon at 4PM. I think this is a little bit ridiculous given that check-in is from 3PM so clearly they are underprepared. How do you run out so early? Also, they must be baking some desserts for their dinner buffet so I don't see why they can't make new cakes for their peak tea time hours.
It is a shame they don't open the areas with window views for a la carte dinners nor during tea time. The view is best enjoyed during the day with natural light. They should take advantage of the large windows in the all day dining restaurant.

For sightseeing in Kyoto, this hotel was a great idea. - Less than 15 mins by train from Kyoto station - (which is the transport hub for getting around all of the amazing sights in the city). The hotel has a regular shuttle service which takes you from the hotel to the local station - Brilliant! Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and snow caped mountains in the distance. And here's a thing which I've never quite worked out why more hotels don't do this - the beds faced the window so we woke facing a beautiful view! The staff were lovely - as you would expect in Japan - and the bar/restaurant was very good with our seats surrounded by greenery even though we were inside.

売店で商品数の袋を求めたところ｢有料です｣と言われガッカリした。ティッシュも半切れだし、トイレが洗面台の同じスペースにあるとか、あらゆる所で、コストの削減が感じられ折角の非日常感を求めた旅行がセコい旅行に思えた。
호텔은 비와코 호수가 보여서 전망이 아주 좋고, 방도 매우 넓고 깨끗하고 좋습니다. 전반적으로 위치도 시설도 좋습니다.
단, 일본인만 가야합니다. 한국인은 절대 가지 마세요. 한국인 차별합니다. 구체적으로 제가 당한 불쾌한 경험을 되새기고 싶진 않지만, 한국인은 절대 가지 않길 바랍니다. 손님을 국적이나 인종에 따라 차별하는 호텔은 보이콧을 당해 마땅하다고 생각합니다. 시정하겠다는 답신을 받았지만 확신이 들지 않습니다. 차별을 당하며 구지 이 호텔에 갈 이유는.전혀 없습니다.
