The Village House is echt de perfecte plek om even bij te komen. Het personeel is ontzettend behulpzaam, vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ze doen er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat je een fijn verblijf hebt.
De binnentuin is prachtig, met overal verschillende planten en bloemen. Rondom het zwembad zijn bovendien allerlei fijne zitplekjes waar je heerlijk kunt ontspannen.
Ook is The Village House een fijne uitvalsbasis als je Mount Santubong wilt beklimmen. Een leuke extra is dat je gratis een fiets of mountainbike kunt lenen om de omgeving te verkennen.
Het ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar prima en je kunt kiezen uit verschillende opties: een traditioneel Maleisisch ontbijt met rijst, pannenkoekjes of een Engels ontbijt.
De wifi deed het niet. Wij hadden deze niet nodig, maar mocht je dit wel nodig hebben is het wijs om te vragen (op voorhand) of deze het doet.
Mycket trevligt och mysigt hotell med trevlig personal. Poolen var ett välkommet alternativ till avkylning efter en dag ute i solen och värme. Hela hotellområdet var mysigt med små sittgrupp där man kunde slappa och sola.
Köket behöver utvecklas och det bara begränsat utbud. Även baren skulle behöva en inköpsrunda.

Mooi verblijf, heerlijk zwembad en echt genieten van de rust.
Wij zijn er 7 nachten verbleven..
vanaf de 1e dag dat wij aankwamen, was er een tekort aan diverse producten die wel op de menukaart staan.
Dagelijks was er amper een cocktail te krijgen, wat ik toch echt een groot minpunt vind. Het diner (rendang) maak ik als Nederlander 10 keer zo goed.

Mooi hotel, heel vriendelijk personeel, het zwembad, de fietsen die je kan gebruiken. Lekker handig om richting het strand te gaan of naar het dorpje en de archeologische plekken in het dorp dat je gratis kan bezoeken.
Je hoort alles in de kamer. Het zwembad blijft aan tijdens de nacht dus heb ik met oordopjes geslapen omwille van het geluid. De prijs van de uitstappen is te duur tov andere aanbieders. Het eten was lekker, maar 4 kleine stukjes kip waarvan er 3 vooral bot is nogal een dure kip met curry.
Room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is excellent. Pool facility is very good.
Village House is located in a remote area. Without shuttle service we cannot reach anywhere as no other transport available. As long as you are inside the facilities are good. But outside everything is far ...

The hospitality is top notch, even top starred hotels cannot match. Bai and Lyne are extremely helpful and accomodating.
The aircon is just not strong enough to cool the room.
The place is top notch, professional service with a smile, lovely breakfast, comfy bed in the dorm room with cosy duvet! (I was the only one in the dorm and lived it!)
They even made my bed each morning.
The pool is lovely and lots of chill areas around the pool and grounds.
There's also a sitting room/music room upstairs with guitar, cajon sit in drum box and traditional instruments, with a TV and sofas.
Locks royalty stayed here during a traditional music festival, booked the place for thenselves.
I love Santubong village, it's a really calm place with beautiful backdrop of the mountain, next to the water. The people are friendly and food it delicious in the cafes.
It can be difficult to get ehailing service like grab it maxim, but the staff happily sort a ride locally for you if this is an issue.
Amazing service amazing vibes. So serene, so exclusive. I could stay here whole weekend if God allowed me. Alas, I have responsibilities. Food and bar menu are pretty reasonable, you don’t even need to leave the property bros.
Parking can be a bit better, otherwise, no harm done.
The property is amazing - exactly as it looks in the pictures. However what stood out was the helpfulness of the hosts, Bai and Lin. They gave us loads of support, suggesting activities and being around for any questions (even via message). And the food was great too - we really enjoyed the breakfast! I would absolutely recommend staying here
Nothing - it was perfect!
We spent 4 nights here as a group of 4 (2 couples) and had such an amazing time. Our goal was to climb Mount Santobong, go on a river boat trip and to visit Bako National Park. We were able to do all of that from this location (getting a local hire to drive us to the spots) and come back to a really serene and peaceful accommodation. The Village House is a very peaceful and beautiful property - the curated menu was cooked fresh and was always delicious and we felt the staff in particular Bai and Lyne went above and beyond to make us feel really welcome. Easy communication, relaxing atmosphere and staff that felt like friends made our time here very special. I can only recommend and would love to come back someday!
