Perfect for the purposes of a weekend get-away in Falmouth.
Pros:

Great location, particularly if you are arriving by train (also ample parking if not)

Cons:

Fantastic stay at the Falmouth Hotel. Will definitely be back.
Pros:

We loved everything about the hotel, especially the breakfast and bar staff. They couldn’t have been better.

Cons:

We were staying during an exceptionally hot period of weather and could have benefited from an air conditioner. A fan was provided but it wasn’t great.

Full of character from the outside, but our room fell well short of expectations.
Pros:

The hotel is a beautiful historic building in a great location with lovely gardens and plenty of parking. The lounge and bar areas are attractive and make the most of the views, and all of the staff we met were friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Unfortunately the bedroom was disappointing and didn’t reflect the character of the rest of the hotel. It felt tired and in need of refurbishment, with worn carpets, poorly finished paintwork and a very basic bathroom. The room was small, warm with no air conditioning, and the fan provided wasn’t particularly effective. The bed was also small and not especially comfortable. Our room had no meaningful view, looking onto the side of another building through frosted glass. One bathrobe was dirty, and some of the bathroom sealant was mouldy. Breakfast was adequate but fairly average, with ingredients that felt more budget than expected.

A nice and quiet stay

Pros:

We were given a complimentary upgrade from a sea view room to one with a balcony. Fabulous views over the bay.

Cons:

My only gripe is that the only mirror was the one above the sink in the bathroom. Could really do with a full length mirror in the bedroom. I had to use the mirrored tissue box to do my make up while my husband was shaving. Us women also like to check our dress in a full length mirror before going out.

Hotel an bester Lage
Pros:

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage am Meer. Leider wird das Potential dieser Perle durch das Management nicht genutzt. Der Empfang an der Reception war sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Das Personal in Restaurant und Bar wirkte nicht sehr engagiert. Ich wollte bei der Ankunft beim Restaurant um 17.00 Uhr noch für ein Nachtessen reservieren. Sie haben keine Reservationen angenommen und waren am Abend dann nicht ausgebucht. Im Barbereich wurde das schmutzige Geschirr durch das Personal sehr lange nicht abgeräumt.
