- Allgemein: Ende des 19.JH (1895) erbautes Hotel mit entsprechendem Charme
- Personal: absolut freundlich
- Zimmer: sauber, kürzlich renoviertes, grosses Bad
- Komfort: Wellness-Angebot (haben wir aber nicht genutzt)
- Ausstattung: Tee-/Kaffeezubereitung im Zimmer (Instant-Kaffee)
- Parken: Parkplatz ohne Zusatzgebühr!
- Lage: direkt an der Promenade, Strand vor dem Hotel steinig, nur bei Ebbe, die Promenade entlang gibt es einen kleinen Sandstrand, Hafen ca. 5 Min. Fußweg, Zentrum 10-15 Min. zu Fuß, Pendennis Castle fussläufig zu erreichen
- Umgebung: von Torquay nach Falmouth unterwegs die Lost Gardens of Heligan (u. a. riesige Rhododendren), von hier aus nach Truro, Lizard's Point, Keynance Cove gefahren, Falmouth selbst hat bei uns einen etwas heruntergekommenen Eindruck hinterlassen (Leerstände in den Geschäftslokalen, renovierungsbedürftige Fassaden/Fenster), wäre bei uns nicht mehr Ziel auf einer weiteren Tour
-Frühstück: English Breakfast, frisch zubereitete Eier in allen Variationen

The views and staff were brilliant

Cons:

Some coffees ordered at the bar weren't very hot.
The remote controls and sockets in the guests rooms were quite dirty, had to use wet wipes to clean the remote before using it as it had something like chocolate all over it.

Excellent accommodation for one night stay out of season and to enable us to visit Pendennis Castle early in the morning
Pros:

Large room with sea view and lounge space and small fridge, choice of teas etc. swimming pool. Lifts. Reception and restaurant staff very helpful. Good breakfast, 24 hour free parking .
Close / walking distance to town centre and local beaches , gardens , castle and theatre

Loved the location and the overall feel of the hotel.
This certainly didn't feel like a hotel that was cutting corners. The hospitality tray in the room was first class with the option of making real coffee, lovely biscuits etc. The soaps and shampoos were of such good quality
And the meals in the dining room were amazing. Not a huge choice but beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were lovely too.

Cons:

Not much really. It is certainly a hotel that is in the process of being refurbished and there are certain areas that need some work.
But the overall feel is of a large, welcoming space in the most perfect location

Exceeded my expectations.
Pros:

Beautiful location . On arrival I was greeted with a free upgrade to an executive room with stunning Seaviews. The hotel was clearly very grand in its heyday and is currently being renovated. Although the furnishing /decor in the room was dated, it was spotlessly clean and still felt luxurious.
All the staff were helpful and attentive. The bar, lounge and restataurant were very welcoming and have seaviews. The food at breakfast and the evening was very tasty.

Cons:

Generally there was nothing I disliked. The only exception was one morning when my cooked breakfast order arrived at the table when I had only just started my muesli. The waitress was going to leave it on the table, until I said it would have then been cold before I was ready for it...she then did arrange a replacement whenI was ready. I did not have this problem on any other day, and generally service was very good.
