The food was good and the pool.
Check in was long winded given it was all paid in advance.
Great building - fab location, and staff are lovely.
bathroom was a little dated.
Property is well located for Falmouth and walking along the seafront. Beds comfortable and staff very polite and friendly. We stay here quite a lot as have relatives close by and find it very good value for money. Have had roast and cream tea in the past both of which were very good.
Great location. Perfect for our dogs. Clean, spacious, great sea view… like being on a boat!
The changing rooms for pool etc
Massage was absolutely amazing
i loved the public open spaces on the ground floor..comfy sofas/armchairs/lighting.. paintings on the walls ..the seating near the large windows were very popular..we spent alot of time sitting having drinks looking at the views of the gardrns & sea, & people watching...the pool was very convenient in the basement..having a lift was a must & a godsend for such a large hotel with 4 floors, esp for people with mobility issues like myself.. staff were polite & helpful.. perfect location..the only minuses and they arent really minus's , were that it was a bit dated..if you prefer modern..which i dont...but the whole building was full of character..i loved it there & will definately go back there whenever i go to falmough to visit my daughter.. A1 recommended..
the only things i didnt like were the cost of the meals & the time it took to make our coffees..sometimes it took 15 minutes for them to make 2 drinks..but these are very miniscule minuses..
The hot water and powerful shower. Reception staff were helpful.
We booked the hotel as it was dog friendly but felt like we were 2nd class citizens being packed off for a separate area for breakfast and were not permitted entry to the bar with the dog. No flexibility on restaurant booking as my husband was delayed by 15 mins so we had to go elsewhere. The room was very tired, carpets were thread bare, bedside lamp had no bulb, the toilet flush handle was not fixed together and came apart on use, the window rattled throughout the night due to not a particularly strong wind and had cobwebs in the corners. The worst thing was the bed, it sunk and the matress springs could be felt and not a good night sleep was had.
Great location
Nothing
Wonderful location and historic feel- the lounges and bar were comfortable and well appointed. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Our room a bit tired and windows needed a good clean.
Its grandeur and history, despite this the room had a very good en-suite. I love the decor and charm of the place.
Absolutely nothing!
Location. Breakfast and Ambience
Late Check in with an early check out
Lovely grand old hotel in great location on Castle Beach.
Some of the communal areas looked a little tired.
Location is fantastic, overall is tired, grubby and very poor housekeeping.
Poor housekeeping, room not made up till 6pm, sheets and mattress cover didn’t fit the bed, stains on the surface of the vanity dresser
Good breakfast, plenty of variety
Nothing
Room was lovely and warm
Food was lovely, evening meal and breakfast.
The room we stayed in,yes it was a seaview, but very small view,if had a bigger window then yes it would be a seaview, would nit call our room a seaview.
