We so enjoyed our stay at the Castillo Rojo. The decor was beautiful with lots of cozy gathering spaces to hang and relax. The staff at the front desk, bellman, and bar restaurant were all exceptional. Some very good restaurant options in walking distance. (As well as bakeries! Highly recommend
I loved my stay at the Hotel Boutique Castillo Rojo. Plenty of good restaurants, sights, and things to do within walking distance. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. They gave me and other guests lots of recommendations for things to do and were able to schedule my early morning airport transfer. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the hotel had a happy hour every evening. I'd happily stay again and recommend the Castillo Rojo to everyone.
Beautiful hotel that truly made me feel on vacation. My room had everything I needed, including a robe! Free glass of wine in the evening in their beautiful sitting room/bar. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient location near Neruda's house, and a ton of restaurants.
We spent 4 days, 3 nights. I went with my wife. At our arrival they offered us choose between three availsble rooms. We choosed room number 4 on the second flour. Very nice room, everything was perfectly set, bed perfectly dressed, room.pergectly clesned, bathroom with perfect water pressure, all perfectly cleeaned, perfect water temperature.
Room attention perfect, very kind hotel personel, in reception, room service, dinning rooms always very kind attending anything we could need.
On second flour they have a Big living room with a library, book in various languages, tourist information, information about Chile, history of Chile, atractions, geography, literature, pocket books you may borrow. On the evening, between 7 and 9pm they servedus a free cup of wine and in ocations two cups of wine while socializing with other guests.
Breakfast served along the complete morning so we didn't have to get up earlier to take our meal before we go out. Scrambled eggs with bacon were fabulous, the bread portions weren't as I am used but they offered us more if we wanted. Fruit was marvelous, lots of fruit, bananas, apples, kiwi, melón, and others. In Reseption, all perfect, they helped us giving us tourism information, how to move around the city, how to get a taxi or bus or train to get where we needed.
Hotel location near banks, moneyexchange, markets, bars, restaurantes, bus stops, the near train station was four blocks from hotel.
Next time I go to Santiago we will go with no doubt to Castillo Rojo Hotel. It was really Perfect every thing. FIVE STARS. Perfect hotel for going in couple, alone or family.

A forma de como é servido o café da manhã, onde não fica totalmente disponível e você tem de pedir o que quer, demorando um pouco para chegar!

Excelente escolha, desde a localização estratégica para todos os principais pontos turisticos (inclusive há 2 quadras da subida para SAN Cristoban), os funcionários são extremamente educados, solícitos e simpáticos.
O café da manhã é excelente, servido individualmente nas mesas, comentei no segundo dia que estou grávida e que meu ovo não poderia estar mole e em todos os outros dias eles se atentavam nesse detalhe com os meus ovos, foi bem especial.
A decoração do hotel é linda e a torre em que ficamos era recém reformada, então estava tudo lindamente novo limpo e com roupas de cama de qualidade.
Amamos tudo. Não temos nada pra reclamar!!

Petit déjeuner insuffisant, pas de buffet, seuls de petits pots de céréales (équivalent 2 cuillères), des confitures et les boissons en libre service. Pour le reste, et pour 5 personnes : une assiette avec 1 demi-banane et 1 demi, une assiette de charcuterie avec une « tranche » de jambon de 5cmx5cm, une tranche de fromage du meme format et 2 rondelles de saucisson, un panier avec 1 tout petit pain et 1 petite viennoiserie par personne et un mini plat au choix à commander avec un service long. Portions minuscules, nous avions faim en ressortant. Pas au niveau du standing de l’hôtel
This is an incredible hotel to stay at. The staff are wonderful and very caring. We notified them that it was our anniversary on the day of our arrival and they made us a lovely welcome platter and letter to congratulate us. Boris at the bar was very accommodating because we told him that we do not drink alcohol and he made us fantastic Virgin mosquitos. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. It is an old boutique, hotel, full of luxury, history and character. Nice big shower and nice big rooms with excellent views of the mountains. The staff were brilliant at making us feel welcome.

A stylish hotel with an interesting design and comfortable rooms with heating. Conveniently located in a safe area, with plenty of restaurants and a cable car nearby.
Things that could be improved and that are particularly noticeable:
1. The breakfasts are meager. For a 4-star hotel, a more varied selection would be appreciated.
2. The customer service, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. Upon check-in, we were given rooms with windows overlooking the courtyard, which was rented out for an event that evening. The music drowned out everything else until the evening, making it impossible to stay in the room. Only after asking a second time were we offered to move to the top floor, where the music was quieter. It's surprising that the management didn't consider this before checking us in. And as we understand from reviews, this happens regularly at this hotel. Therefore, it's best to check whether there are any events scheduled when you check in; you could get into an unpleasant situation.
3. Keep in mind that the hotel doesn't have an elevator. However, they will help with your suitcases upon request.

Wonderful hotel in a brilliant location. The staff were incredibly helpful, including assisting us to access medical care for my partner. The hotel itself is beautiful and we would stay again without hesitation.
