We had everything to ourselves

It is genuine old world charm - it was a pub then a convalescent home and it hasn't been undone - it has used these features. Graeme was helpful. Plenty of parking on site and very comfortable bed. Good hot water and shower.
The wifi didn't work upstairs was the only thing.

Gorgeous heritage Hotel on the main street of Canowindra. Beautifully preserved, lots of charm. Close to small supermarket and a few restaurants

If you don’t mind old vintage look of the place then this is the place for you!! Excellent service staff are very friendly and food is great. Yes I would return again!!

Big negative was the slowest Internet I have experienced since dial up days.
So if internet is important BYO.

This is a heritage-listed old property that has been discreetly sufficiently modernised to meet traveller expectations. It includes an elegant dining room with a limited menu of well presented meals.

Will not be staying there again

The room was clean but a little small for 3 people. The bathroom was adequate. The location was good as it was in the middle of town on the main road.
Unfortunately the building needs some attention, the parking in the backyard needs attention and the managers need some lessons in respect and time management. Returning the key to a responsible person or secure place was a nightmare.

This property has obviously bn much better in the past judging by the awards scattered around property. I am not a usual user of B&Bs but I had no TV or even access to one in a common area. I could not access Wi-Fi but thankfully able to set up hotspot with phone. The facilities are VERY dated. Didn’t even have body soap in shower - had to use shampoo. I note it’s for sale so maybe better days ahead but I was very disappointed & at $145/night I found it very expensive. I was on ground floor - maybe upstairs was better. So much potential. I was warm as it was super chilly. Electric blanket very welcome!!!

A very disappointing stay. The hotel was in disrepair and closed and we were accommodated in an outhouse at the back. Despite air conditioning it was very cold and draughty and the promised inclusions such as a continental breakfast would not pass food hygiene standards eg half used milk, juice and opened cereal box, and a few slices of bread wrapped in cling wrap!! Needless to say, we did not eat these unsatisfactory offerings. I could not recommend this accommodation.
