Gem of a find right in the heart of Kamala
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at Baan Kamala Fantasea Hotel in Kamala and would happily return. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Kamala, making it easy to walk to the beach, nearby shops, and plenty of great places to eat.

One of the highlights of the stay was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They gave us fantastic recommendations for local eateries and things to do in the area, which really helped us make the most of our time in Kamala. We also had great recommendations for the next part of our holiday, Bangkok. Thank you.


The hotel itself was very clean and well looked after, and the room was comfortable and relaxing after a long day exploring. It had everything we needed for an easy, enjoyable stay.

Another big plus is the fantastic Thai restaurant right next to the hotel. The food there was delicious and very convenient when we didn’t feel like going far for dinner.

Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. With its central location, helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great food nearby, it’s a great choice for anyone staying in Kamala.

The pictures online are very deceiving. It does not look like that. The bed is clean but room 104 smells very bad. They

The staff was friendly. It’s not their fault. I think they try but they don’t have a lot to work with.

Cons:

The room smelled like sewage. They should not rent this room out. We ended up leaving after two days, cause we couldn’t take the odor any longer and there were tiny flies. I believe coming up from the drains. We should’ve known when we walked in the room, was heavily perfume with air fresheners, which we had to remove because it really was not a good thing to be breathing in, but nor was the sewer gas.
The bed and linens were very clean

sauberes Zimmer und das war es schon an Positivem

Cons:

kleineres Zimmer als beschrieben, etwa knapp 20qm anstatt 29, kein Platz für Ablage neben Bett, kleiner Schrank, keine Kofferablagemöglichkeit. Balkon mit 2 Hockern und Tisch nicht benutzbar ausser um Handtuch aufzuhängen. Sitzmöglichkeit direkt unter Kompressor der Klimaanlage, Balkontüren re und li kaputt , konnten nicht verschlossen werden, Moskitonetz defekt,Fön defekt
Alles in allem den Preis ( 21420 THB für 6 Tage ) nicht wert. Beschreibung und Bilder entsprechen nicht der Beschreibung. Für das Geld und die Beschreibung habe ich mir was anderes vorgestellt.

Clean, convenient, quiet but paid high season price and perhaps too much
Pros:

The room was clean and bathroom renovated somewhat. The pics look a bit better than the actual hotel. The sign still says it’s a hotel and back packers. Need to change that if advertised as a hotel. I think it was converted to a hotel. The shared small space with pillows in the floor near the water container looks very much like a backpacker area as does the outside facade. You get two pillows which is a bonus, room service is excellent and completed early by kind smiley service staff. The ease of using the shower to regulate the shower heat was good. Loved access to the refillable water container downstairs. It was quiet considering we were in the middle of a busy area and could only hear the hum of traffic. Lovely maintained scrubbery by the gardener as you walk through to reception. Welcome drink and Paul and other reception staff helpful. Be aware though there are 4 floors and we needed to climb 39 stairs to level floor 3. This was good exercise though.

Cons:

The shared space was outdated with a half wooden boat with pillows on the floor. A bit unclean. Perhaps one reception staff could scrub up a little more with a cleaner look. This is not a game changer but physical appearance on the front desk may impact the tone of the place. In saying that , exceptionally attentive , helpful and friendly reception staff.

Pros:

Zimmer war sehr sauber und es wurden jedesmal die Handtücher ausgetauscht beim Zimmer reinigen (war unserer Meinung nach nicht notwendig).
Jeden Tag 2 Flaschen Wasser umsonst.
Shampoo und Duschbad wurde zur Verfügung gestellt.
Personal super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Netter Freisitz zur Straße.
Strand, Restaurants und Lebensmittelläden alles in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Wilgoć niestety bardzo mocno dokucza jak choc na chwilę wyłączy się klimatyzację, która niestety chodzi dosyć głośno. Łazience przydałoby się odświeżenie.
