Location in downtown Seward was excellent. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Fantastic value. Highly recommend.
Location is great
Dirty, trash in bag. Bed wasn’t confortable, TV didn’t work
So unusual and we loved it! Really nicely decorated, yet retained the historical atmosphere of the building. Surprisingly quiet considering the downtown location.
Nothing to dislike
Charming space, host was amazing and very responsive! Went out of his way to help us and make sure we had everything we needed! Excellent, clean space and we really loved our stay! Thank you so much! Highly recommend!
Everything

Bad Isolation
Location was great on the downtown
Wish there was AC or ceiling fan would work
The space was nice. Large bedroom. And pretty views. Great communication with manager.
As you would expect from an old building. Creaking floors, no elevators, uncomfortable furniture, and really old pipes that push sewer smell to throughout the rooms.
The Adventure room at Sauerdough Lodging was compact, but very functional. The kitchen was well equipped, and the hosts were very helpful. The building is historic, so the floors were uneven and creaky. If you prefer modern accommodations, this is not the place for you. If you like historic charm, you will like this. I appreciated the location right on the main shopping street in town. It was very easy to feel right at home in Sauerdough Lodging.
Because the building was historic, it was challenging to find enough outlets to charge our devices. There were enough outlets, but we had to work at it.
We loved the place! Clean, comfortable, cozy and great staff!
The property manager has excellent customer service, helpful, went extra steps to find a place for our needs. the property owner is very nice and offered us wild caught fish for our dinner. The kitchen has lots of cooking supplies and fully equipped. We highly recommend to others.
We loved the location of the Sauerdough and the staff was nice and accommodating throughout our stay. We enjoyed our time at the Sauerdough.
The only thing I didn't like was that the windows to our room opened up to a roof, which had steps/access from the street for another apartment in the next building. We did not feel comfortable leaving the windows open, although others may not feel that way or have a problem with it.
Centrally located
Great location downtown Seward. Older building, but very clean, well stocked with dishwater, etc, and well furnished.
No A/C, but not unusual for Alaska. Also, if you have the windows open for some cool fresh air, expect some noise from cars and people on the street below. Was pretty quiet after about 10pm though. Walk up required to second floor.
