Good base for public transport, and yummy breaky!
Pros:

The location was the main reason we chose this property, we didn't realise it was a pub, but that didn't matter greatly. The room was well appointed, and the tea and coffee was appreciated. The staff were great, even though they were short staffed over the holiday weekend they still accepted our request for an earlier breakfast than advertised so we could complete our long walk in time for our transport home. The breakfast was really good as well.

Great location and competitively priced worh other hotels in the area.
Pros:

Location was good.

Cons:

Room was good but flooring on stairs and landing, leading to room not cleaned for a while. Key for late access to hotel didn’t work.
We only seen one staff member who looked like she was doing everything.
The stay was still good though, got to say and price competitive.

Comfortable stay, great location
Pros:

Great location, room was comfortable and functional. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

The floor in the bar was very dirty from the night before when we ate breakfast and that was a little gross.

Fantastic
Pros:

The breakfast was great and the hostess and staff was really nice and accommodating. Our room was really comfortable spacious. I have no complaints about this place and would stay there again.

Lovely weekend stay
Pros:

The Elleray is a lovely hotel right by the train station which was perfect for us! We had a family room that was decorated lovely, spacious and spotless!
We had a delicious breakfast both mornings and Caz went above and beyond for our little girl, even cutting her toast in to heart shapes!
Thank you for having us, we will be back!

Clean room and nice pub environment. Friendly staff who felt approachable. Nice big bath in the bathroom. Comfy bed.
Breakfast was great. Order the night before from a small menu. Good to see high quality ingredients used
