The Elleray

To be honest the hotel was a little tatty. It needs a lot of attention, maintenance and general decor. Large cracks in the ceiling of the room, broken blind in the bathroom and rugs which I assume were being used to cover the poor carpet ,but were trip hazards, especially in the night when you do not want to put a light on. Also a broken bannister on the stairs which may be dangerous in the future. Whilst it was not an expensive stay, I have never stayed anywhere before where the rooms are not serviced. Whilst this was not a major issue it would have been nice to have known in advance and as I said anything we asked for was not an issue for the staff. All in all though, this did not affect our short stay.

通常の朝食時間が平日でも朝9時からという遅い時間だった。
（しかし、それでは観光や列車移動の時間に間に合わないため、説明して特別に朝食を8時からに早めて貰った。）
平日はもっと早い時間（7時か7時半から）に朝食を取れれば客にとって高評価になると思う。

I don’t think the staff knew much about hospitality sector and how to treat their customers. We stayed for 3 nights and the garbage bins were never emptied and had to ask for extra towels which we got a day later.

I love the location. A o to anywhere ( including the train station). The room was very clean and surprisingly quiet even though we were in the center of things. Everything great and so affordable. Excellent hot breakfast. Huge value.

　B&Bなので仕方ないが気になる人はいるだろう。我々は気にならないレベルだったので、神経質になりすぎないほうがいい。

Nothing, absolutely fantastic place to stay

Overall carpet and bed seems taty, the tea cups were used so I had to bring them to reception and the member of staff apologised for this, and they brought clean cups to my bedroom. The top glasses of the bedside table were not clean, it had marks of glasses...I guess from the previous guest. The water of the bottle, next to the cups was not fresh nor the empty glasses next to it - so they didn't bothered providing clean glasses and fresh water either.

Noise in early hours from the main road and the room good do with updating x

All was good

Room was good but flooring on stairs and landing, leading to room not cleaned for a while. Key for late access to hotel didn’t work.
We only seen one staff member who looked like she was doing everything.
The stay was still good though, got to say and price competitive.

The floor in the bar was very dirty from the night before when we ate breakfast and that was a little gross.

Was a wee bit tired in some areas but still very good value for money and lovely and clean.
