Friendly staff, good facilities but missed out on my evening swim
Pros:

Reception and bar staff were lovely. breakfast was tasty

Cons:

Decor really needs updating, indoor pool opening/closing times need to be displyed better. Booked this hotel for indoor pool was open until 9pm and only had 1 night with my daughter for abit of a chill out time, however pool closed early due to removal of scaffolding, left disappointed.

Brilliant!
Pros:

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was very clean, room was very big, staff were friendly, beautiful pools, steam room, sauna and hot tub. Will definitely be back.

Cons:

Having to pay for parking as we booked through booking.com.

L’emplacement à proximité de la plage du centre et de la gare

Cons:

Le service de restauration. Très mal reçu pour le dîner. On nous a fait comprendre qu’il fallait dîner rapidement car le service se terminait. Notre réservation était à 7h45 et à 8h45 le personnel a commencé à éteindre les lumières et fermer la porte du restaurant et à se montrer pressant pour notre départ. Dommage car le dîner était très bon.

Sad that all indoor pool facilities were closed and no notice given
Pros:

We have stayed here before and our room with sea view didn’t disappoint. The outdoor pool was welcome as it was a warmer stay although it’s not heated so you have to brace yourself and I was really disappointed the indoor pools and facilities were all closed without notice during our stay.

Cons:

Very, very dissatisfied to learn on arrival that all indoor pools were closed. It is the type of thing that should be made clear when booking, just an apology and no offer of anything to substitute other than the outdoor pool being open (it’s COLD) to the point my 5 year old had blue lips!! They just said the outdoor pool was open and it would be open longer. If I had known I wouldn’t have booked as we would prefer either a heated outdoor pool or an indoor pool to complement.

Pros:

Lovely classic British hotel old skool feeling. Quality room and carpet. A bath with plug Ans slot of hot water , rare nowadays !
High quality fittings. Do not expect modern this hotel is traditional quality. With modern twist. Lovely spa and leisure area. Beautiful gardens . Stunning views. Great location and professional staff. Top quality.

Faulty towers hotel but good value
Pros:

Near the beach and good value for money. Room was big and clean

Cons:

You’re entering faulty towers here…dated and creaky experience with housekeeping knocking early on your bedroom door. a bit of a funky smell after their spray wore off but seriously you won’t find better value - would recommend. Disappointing that we were charged £10 for parking only because we booked through booking.com.

Could be good but missing the basics

Convenient location. Evening entertainment dated but better than nothing.

Cons:

Staff. Rude receptionist greeted us with.. oh your booking.com so you have to pay for parking. Not that I needed parking as all the surrounding streets have plenty free parking. Restaurant staff in Toorak unbelievably rude and clearly didn’t want to be doing the job. Sarcastic, rude and disrespectful. If you don’t want to be front of house and deal with the public there’s always plenty other jobs to do. Did make a complaint but ‘manager’ equally useless and made endless excuses about recruitment etc. not my problem.

Excellent experience..
Pros:

We stayed at the Toorak for the first time last weekend.. 5th to 8th June 2026.. couldnt fault it.. Had a reserved parking space and ground floor room.Everything was good.. bed comfortable and walk in shower bathroom.. It was a dancing weekend having previously only stayed in the Victoria we didnt mind the half mile corridor walk to the Ballroom at the Victoria.. Food was excellent and they offered small portions which suited us..Rooms serviced on 2 days.. plenty of milk.. Staff very pleasant and helpfull.. We would definatly stay again.. 4 stars from us..

We went for our anniversary and enjoyed the break although would have liked more of the facilities open.
Pros:

Lots of options for things to do.

Cons:

Shame the steam room and jacuzzi were closed as this was part of why we booked and the pool could have been warmer.
