A lovely if faded beauty in the main street of Daylesford.
Pros:

The hotel was perfectly comfortable for a 2-night stay, and right in the heart of Daylesford with free, easy parking. Bed was very comfortable and the large, puffy pillows were wonderful! We had a walk-in shower with very good water pressure, which was great. The AC worked, the room was quiet, the staff were lovely. The hotel resturant and cafe were very good!! Honestly there was nothing substantial to complain about.

Cons:

On the downside, the hotel is definitely in need of some upgrades cosmetically - its looking very tired. The bathroom shelves were all droopy and there is nowhere to put your stuff in the bathroom. Horrid little on-the-wall hairdryer which fortunately I did not need to use. Big spa bath which daughter used but no robe or bath foam. Lots of stairs to hike up and down to get to the rooms. These are just little things and would generally not affect a 1-2 night stay, but don't be expecting opulence!

The location was great and good carparking available

Cons:

There was no hot water. We had to take a cold shower. There was no apology from staff or no discount offered. Some cobwebs arount the mirror in our room and a cracked basin in the bathroom.

Loved it. Great Staff. Had a lovely meal (Dinner)...great waiter service.
Pros:

Really quirky, lush looking decor in rooms which we loved. Hugely comfortable beds. The rooms had a lovely feel to them. Would def recommend. GREAT Location.

Cons:

Bathrooms need refurbishment (unless it was just ours). All be it everything you need so no complaints here.

Dalesford is beautiful and would visit again but I would choose a different Hotel next time.
Pros:

We were able to change rooms when our booked room was unacceptable.

Cons:

Our room booked initially was unacceptable as every floorboard sqeaked loudly. The round bed was too small and our feet would have hung over the side. No window. The alternative room was only accessible from outside the main building but was more comfortable. We were greatful to be able to change rooms quickly and without argument.
