The location is the best! In the heart of the old city within the fortification.
The room that I booked has a toilet outside (I knew it before I booked) which is fine but it’s at the end of the corridor and you need to lock in and lock out of it all the time. Then they don’t provide a kettle (for my economy room) and one needs to walk up and down if one needs hot water. Then the furniture arrangement is so that one doesn’t get a bedside table and the aircon blew at you every single second. It’s not very comfortable at all. If they put the bed the other way then the guests will get a bedside table, and the chair which can be position to be actually used; and more space for luggage. If the hotel can provide an extension cord there, guests can even charge their phones while playing the device in bed. This arrangement’s only downside is the light switch. A little change can go a long way though. Staff doesn’t come to clean everyday either, which is completely okay, just need to be told. It feels like a glorified hostel rather than a hotel. I still think it’s worth staying, just need to be prepared for the walking up and down and in and out; and bring batteries if you like to play with your phone at night lying in bed! Or don’t book the economy room! Oh one more thing, be prepared for the stairs! It’s old Quebec City so it can’t be helped.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location and room decor were great.
Washroom a bit small but it’s okay. Washroom area could have been cleaned a bit more before our arrival.
Great location
The steps were steep to get in which was ok but very heavy doors too and bottom of steps difficult with luggage. The shower room was tiny and shower door hit the toilet when opened. The wash hand basin was outside of the shower room and toilet which was strange!
Very clean, convenient location, easy check in and great price!!
Very quaint and centrally located across from old City Hall.
Steep stairs at front door.
The hotel was located in a great location within Old Quebec, and it was very easy to walk around and get to where we wanted to go within and outside of Old Quebec.
As others have already mentioned, there are no lifts, and the stairs are steep to climb, but the staff was very kind in offering to carry our luggage down one flight of stairs to our room.
We got the semi-basement room, so we had windows directly facing the street. Wasn't too big of a deal, but there weren't any curtains that could be drawn, so the only option for privacy was to close the windows up, which meant we couldn't have much daylight in most of the time.
Carpet around the bed was also not the cleanest, but not a dealbreaker.
The hotel is very coveniently located in Vieux Quebec and near underground parking
No meals are available. The room is rather small. There is a communal fridge but someone took our drink cans
