Absolutely nothing good to say about this hotel.
The hotel was dirty with a stale smell in the whole building. The carpets and restaurant/ dining area was dated, old and very grubby. The ‘Pantry Garden’ breakfast dining area was like a canteen, dirty floor, tables not set correctly, no teabags and no facilities to fill a teapot even if there were teabags, no staff member serving in the area. Very limited choice of breakfast items and rashers were grey in colour.
The room was small and like a sauna because the thermostat was broken. I was told it was fixed after i reported it but in fact it wasn’t fixed AND they put a fan in the room. I couldn’t open the window because there was a flat roof outside of my room and it was a security risk. The heat in the room was the least of my worries though as there were multiple anti social incidents on my corridor during the night. One man fell down a small stairs outside my door. It took another man 30 mins to get him up. Another group were knocking on doors looking for someone who apparently did something to one of their daughters. Then a woman hammered on doors looking for another woman and when she found her, there was a very aggressive argument with threats being made and choice language. I was surprised that the police weren’t called. Needless to say when I tried contacting reception there was no reply.
tres bien placé, il y a tout pour passer un bon séjour: le restaurant, le pub les chambres et la salle de sport
An hour waiting for an ordered sandwich, while other people were served after coming in after us
The staff were very friendly and helpful
The hotel in general is a little tired, but big efforts have been made to bring the bedrooms up to date.
In the middle of town. Good room eventually
Checked in to a room with a small window above the bed. Felt very claustrophobic no outlook. Said it in passing to reception and they moved us to a great room looking over the street. No noise as they had double glazing so I was impressed Breakfast was a bit chaotic but food ok.
