Castelsardo Resort Village

We went with easyjet on a half board basis. Not recommended. There are no facilities in the room so you have to bring your own kettle, water and drinks. You can get these from the bar but are a little expensive. You do get drinks with your meals though. We were there at the end of the season and although you could help yourself to most things the main meal items were served to us. It is a mediterranean diet which suited us but if you are expecting burgers and chips etc this is not the place for you.

The resort is not in Castelsardo but a couple of miles out. You cannot access Castelsardo walking down the road as there are no footpaths and you have to access by car or down a pretty hazardous track which is used by scramble bikes. They do run a shuttle bus and while we were there it only left at 10.30 and cost 12euros each for a return journey. You really need to budget for hiring a car which you can do in reception at 60 euros per day. Again very expensive but if you want to cover the 2,500 euro excess then that's another 20 euros, so in total 80 euros a day.

So onto Wifi this is 2 euros per day per devise so would highly recommend getting an e sim if you are not covered by your phone company for roaming. Take an extra towel for the sun beds. This is a 10 euro deposit with a 2 euro a day charge.

In the Welcome pack are there a list of 'do nots' so you feel a bit that you are back in school.

Easyjet do not tell you that if you have any mobility issues this is not the hotel for you. Its built on the side of a hill and if you book the easy jet sea view there is 8 sets of stairs, 3 slopes and over 100 stairs to get to the restaurant for your food. The room was also very beige. The view from the room is amazing but you do not get any sun on your balcony.

If you are a keen hiker with a good pair of walking boots and set of sticks and love a well balanced healthy diet this is so the hotel for you. But please budget for all the extra's that you will encounter.

We spent a truly perfect weekend as a couple. The property Is welcoming, well-maintained, and very clean. The atmosphere Is relaxing and romantic, ideal for taking a break from the Daily routine. The staff was extremely kind and Always available, making us feel cared for from start to finish. The location Is eccellent for exploring the surroundings, while still offering peace and privacy. Breakfast was abundant and of great quality. A stay we highly recommend.

I have been here a weekend of September alone. It was an amazing experience! I had got a room with sea view and also the staff of the hotel was very kind. The restaurant was very good and also the staff of the bar. Im sure I will back again.

Wonderful landscapes and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reception staff always ready to help us with all our requests. We can't wait to visit you again

Where to start….. the holiday was to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. He wrote to the hotel asking for a room upgrade which they said would be €15 per night to have a balcony and sea view. We said that was acceptable and they said it could be done when we check in.

Guess what?….. on arrival there was no upgrade available. They said to try again tomorrow as the hotel was full. We asked about parking to be told it was €12 per day, We said OK thanks we will take that…..ohh. It sorry the parking is full, you will have to park on the road. So not a great start which set the tone really especially as they were quite rude about the whole thing. Basically they just wanted us to go away.
We checked into the assigned room which was plenty big enough but just had a window that gave out onto a wall. No view at all.
Dinner was buffet only (there is no a la carte option). The buffet is a served buffet for the main (I.e. the staff serve to your plate). One meat option and one fish option, vegetables and potatoes. Then there was a choice of 3 types of pasta typically one fish, one meat and one veg. There was a salad bar but to be honest very disappointing. Just to mention we were there on a half board basis. There were soft drinks from a machine and a section where you could self serve beer, white or red wine.

The views from the terrace by the restaurant were excellent .

Note this hotel is built into the hill side with a few levels; it is not suitable for less able people, wheel chairs or prams.

The pool has about 70 sunbeds good luck with getting a bed. Guests come out early to bag a sunbed but there is nowhere near enough.

The walk to the beach is down the hillside and it is pleasant enough but no toilets and no refreshments so once there if you need either of those then it is a tough trek back up to the hotel. The hotel does provide sunbeds on the beach but expect the assistant to ask for it back at 6 ish as that’s when he finishes !!!! Remember sunset is about 8:45 so people may wish to stay on the beach until 7:00 or 7:30.

We checked on the room situation the next day and were again rudely fobbed off. I mean it wasn’t that we wanted a free upgrade we were happy to pay.

On check out we went to reception and said we are checking out. He asked what room and presented us our bill. No question to ask if we had enjoyed our stay, no safe journey, no we hope to see you again. Just plain bloody rude!

Other guests were predominately French with some Dutch and some east European; no other English guests.

Location is about 1 1/2 hour drive from Olbia Airport . A bit of a trek to Castelsardo itself so in essence remote.

Would I recommend ? Absolutely not……Stay clear and go somewhere that understands customer service and will appreciate your custom /money.

Our stay was pleasant. We didn't expect much because we read the reviews beforehand. We were lucky since we didn't stay far from the restaurant and bar and our room view was amazing. It's indeed a shame that the all inclusive is not quite all inclusive, we went with corendon and we only had drinks until 10pm and even so there were limited choices. The French stuff has different conditions and even their own party. It's a bit weird to be honest, I have never been in a hotel/resort that the guests were separated to different entertainment areas. You should take a look into that.
Now.. when it comes to staff, most of them are nice. A big thank you to Abdou from the animation team and to the singer (I'm sorry I forgot his name). Abdou was really energetic and fun in the game nights and he has an amazing life story. Thank you for making our stay even better!

Staff is not really nice. When coming they tell you all the extra costs there will be (like paying for towels at the pool, wifi and 15eu taxi to the boring village). Parking also costs extra, so just park down the road. The place is not walkable at all. Lots of stairs. Food is dramatic. Worst pizza ever was here (in italy!) and on top of that me and my girlfriend became sick because of the airconditioning. Only nice thing is the view.

+++ while me and my wife went to thé pizzeria one night he even yelled at my 15 year old son "for nothing" when he went alone to the resteraunt.
The food was ok but i wouldnt order out even if it wasnt free.
The place is beautiful but it’s time to restored quite a lot of things... .
Especially the *salt water* pool this not agreable at all. .
Also the hand railings on the stairs are either inexistant or falling apart and make useing the stony oddly shaped stairs very dangerous. .
Hope your in shape cause its à Mountain to climb every day.
Not to mention the stone tiles around the pool that are breaking and sharp on the feet.

++ The little blemol who broke all the note for me 😑
we found a familly of cats living on the resort who are dying of thirst and hunger.
We asked the staff and they informed us that they recognize the small family of kittens.🧐
But there was one who died last month, so they gave up on the other five... ☹️
So we ended up feeding them 3 times a day during our entire stay 😧
I will try to reach the associations that might be able to help when i get home.
If you are there please feed the kittens they are near the left side of the pool 1 flight of stairs down on the left.
Good stay but I remain unhappy and wont come back.
+ I think of the poor kittens as i leave.
Dont forget to bring water cause its not free an not drinkable from the tap.

You are a super animator, Gaetano. Also cleaned Every day. Food is magnificent. Had a wonderful time. You can see the sunrise, and the sunset. Every evening animation and a good single. We Will certainly come back Here. Made a Lot of good friends too here.

Very nice hotel. Nice staff. Great drinks and food. Right besides a beach. Has very nice views of the sea, the city etc. Very beautiful all around. Has animation everyday in both English and French. Pool is cold but very refreshing on a hot day. Make sure to bring your hiking shoes when going for a walk. The resort has a lot of stairs so if you’re not mobile this might not be the hotel for you.

Sehr schöne Anlage, gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Der Service ist top, Personal stets bemüht, alles sauber zu halten. Es gibt ei gutes Angebot an Essen zum Frühstück und zum Abendessen. Jedoch muss man viel Treppen steigen, da die Anlage in einem Felsen hineingebaut wurde. Der hoteleigene Strand ist etwas klein.

To start with, the beach which one sees on the hotel's promo pictures is 1) not easily reachable (the hotel is up on the hill and no way to reach it by car from elsewhere!) and 2) very small and inconvenient. We used it only once, and went with the car to other beaches (not in the nearby, though). The hotel amenities are fine but a renovation wouldn't hurt. The hotel's own (read: awkward) full board / all inclusive policy is something to be aware of in advance (especially as regards the uses of the bar after 10pm and what's included and excluded from 'all' inclusive). The food itself was rather average (in terms of quality and choice), though the restaurant personnel was really kind and cheerful. The selection of desserts was utterly scarce (meaning one type of a so-so dessert for the dinner). Breakfasts weren't energising either: aged croissants can't just be served. In general, recommendable only with regard to a relatively low price for the stay and only if one doesn't have big plans for beach life or fancy food.

Die aussicht ist Super und fasst nicht zu Topen ! Gute Parkmöglichkeiten auf der anlage für 12 euro am Tag oder Gratis vor dem eingang nach verfügbarkeit ! aber leider ist die anlage Stark in die jahre gekommen und das sieht und merkt mann an jeder ecke ;-( und das All inklusiv ist wirklich nicht den namen wert " Sorry " Bier, wein, Cola,sprudel, Kaffe, tee und ein paar säfte sind als getränke von der Maschine zu zapfen ? und das schmeckt mann leider auch ;-( Wasser & Bier schmeckten da noch am besten alles andere ist absolut ungeniesbar ! Nicht mal der Kaffe aus dem Automaten sind mit genuss zum Triken geignet. Das essen war Gut und genügend abwechslungsreich ( aber Bitte an alle Türkei - urlauber die das All inklusiv dort gewonnt sind ) es ist nicht mal annähernd das was ihr von dort gewohnt seid ;-) wenn ihr das erwarten dann werdet ihr definiv entäschtwerden ! den sogar ein einfacher Toast schlägt mit 5 euro extra bezahlung zwischen Frühstück und mittagessen zur kasse ;-( .......usw. für 3 bis max. 5 tage ist dieses Hotel akzeptabel aber wer länger Bucht .... naja. lasst euch Bitte nicht wie Wir von den tollen Bildern Täuschen den diese geben nicht das wieder was ihr vor ort sehen und erleben werdet ! das Personal ist aber super und auch sehr freundlich und macht die Manament fehler des Hotel etwas erträglicher ( danke auch an Andrea von der Reception der und sehr geholefen hatte in allen fragen ... ) auch die Damen und Herren vom Service die wie Fleissige Bienchen....

Schreckliches Essen - hatten Vollpension und sind auswärts gegangen…Frühstück sehr mager…zocken einem für alles extrageld ab…Pool Animation 7eur / Tag ???? Die Animation war dazu noch schrecklich

Personnel très sympathique dans tout le hôtel. Chambre très bien mais pas assez de pression sous la douche. Restaurant parfait. Attention aux vols de serviette quand elles sèchent.
