Location was nice
Uncomfortable Beds
Breakfast was the best Cumbrian full English i jave ever tasted, the sausage especially, we asked for extras and got them without question and with a smile everytime, service very professional and all the staff are so welcoming and humble. Great location with some spectacular views
Lovely hotel , food and service was very good. Rooms were lovely and clean. Nice walk into Bowness about 10 minutes away . Came back years later after staying here in 2007 for our honeymoon!
Hillthwaite hotel was spotlessly clean. Our bedroom was comfortable, well maintained and tastefully decorated. The bar areas and dining room were spotless and beautifully decorated with fantastic views and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection on the menu.
Was convenient located around 20 minutes walk from Bowness and from the town of Windermere with a gentle uphill walk.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
Lovely welcome and beautifully relaxing lounges with outstanding views.
Superb views.
Lovely food.
Very well presented room.

The Hotel and staff were excellent all staff extremely friendly!
Food was absolutely beautiful (I’m not a huge eater and felt awful as I didn’t finish my pasta) surroundings were lovely!
It was a cosy setting with beautiful views!
Breakfast was also excellent with lots of choice!
Friendly staff, comfy room
Breakfast service was very slow. Room was quite small, particularly for a superior option. No water provoded in room after first night and room wasn’t cleaned until early evening.
Room excellent, Dinner Exceptional and Breakfast exceptional.
The suites were gorgeous, the location is convenient and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurants was delicious. Sauna after a long walk was welcome. Lovely place to stay!
It’s quite pricy, but that’s what you get in a tourist area. You have to reserve dinner in advance, but Bowness is a short walk away if you’re unlucky!
