Friendly staff, comfy room
Breakfast service was very slow. Room was quite small, particularly for a superior option. No water provoded in room after first night and room wasn’t cleaned until early evening.
The Hotel and staff were excellent all staff extremely friendly!
Food was absolutely beautiful (I’m not a huge eater and felt awful as I didn’t finish my pasta) surroundings were lovely!
It was a cosy setting with beautiful views!
Breakfast was also excellent with lots of choice!
The suites were gorgeous, the location is convenient and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurants was delicious. Sauna after a long walk was welcome. Lovely place to stay!
It’s quite pricy, but that’s what you get in a tourist area. You have to reserve dinner in advance, but Bowness is a short walk away if you’re unlucky!
Room excellent, Dinner Exceptional and Breakfast exceptional.
Exceptional generous breakfast included in booking.with many choices available.
There was nothing to dislike, it was perfect!
On high ground, the view was fantastic. For a small hotel, the variety of food on offer, the quality and presentation were all first class and served by friendly attentive staff.
I suppose, understandably for single accommodation, the room and en suite were quite small. If I had but one real criticism, it was that the wc seat had a squared back which was very uncomfortable for my bony frame.
Good restaurant, good bar, good view
Bathroom is too humid the dehumidifier is not working good enough
Amazing location, modern room, lots of amenities, bar man was great
Lovely decor, view, bedding, bathroom
The room is clean and spacious, the scenery is beautiful, there is a swimming pool and a sauna, and the breakfast is also very good.
nice
Fantastic service from staff, immaculate accommodation, luxurious details and facilities
The biggest positive about the hotel was the staff ! Such friendly & welcoming people, & we really felt welcomed & ‘at home’.
The lovely lady on reception (apologies, we didn’t catch your name) gave us a fabulous initial welcome, & was really nice every time we saw her.
Then the two lovely ladies at breakfast (Claire & Louise) were so friendly & attentive….an extra touch was when we saw Claire in town & she made a point of speaking to us to see if we were having a good day…it was like meeting a friend !
The hotel communal areas were beautifully decorated for Christmas which added an extra special touch to our stay - we loved the style & colour schemes.
The amazing Gingerbread house on the way in to breakfast was amazing…well done to the chefs for creating such a masterpiece !
We stayed for our anniversary & we’re very touched to find a lovely card waiting in the room to wish us a happy anniversary….very kind touch, which was very much appreciated !
There weren’t really any negatives to our stay, except that we had to leave !
If we were to be picky, we would say the shower water pressure was quite low & water leaked through the gaps in the folding shower screen, leaving a small puddle on the floor.
Also, we would have appreciated skimmed milk in the room (but to be fair, we didn’t ask for this, so unsure if this was an option), & also we would have liked gluten-free oats for breakfast (they had run out when we asked for this).
Staff were very attentive and helpful, location is stunning
Some Dated decor, swimming pool was actually cold which was very disappointing as I picked the hotel based on pool facilitaties. The bed was really uncomfortable, mattress topper too thick, tossed and turned all night, my husband was the same
