Nice location next to the river, only 10 minutes from the airport. They offer free pick up and drop off to the airport. The room was large and very comfortable, the bed was so comfy and everything worked as it should. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all wonderful. Nice pool , spa and gym upstairs
Nothing. To be picky a kettle in the room for boiling water would have been ideal

I am so happy we booked the Wyndham Puerto Santa Ana! The hotel has a great location with easy and safe walking to the Malecón and nearby restaurants along Rio Guayas. There was also a pharmacy and naturalísimo (I love smoothies) nearby which was super convenient. The Malecón area around the hotel is super safe with many security guards patrolling, we loved strolling this area.
Hotel shuttle to and from airport was easy.
The hotel restaurant Rio Grande had great breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. With varied vegetarian options which was a major plus for me. We also ate at the hotel’s Japanese restaurant Doyo which was super great. There is a bar with snacks and an outdoor lounge too! I really loved the food options at the hotel and surrounding areas.
The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful! The jacuzzi needs to be reserved for private use and is hot! We liked the well equipped gym with views of the river.
We felt very safe in this area. The hotel has 24 hour security and provides a secured taxi service, which we utilized several times to visit the Mal del Sol.
We opted for a business room with a view of the city. Beds were very comfortable and shower worked great. Good a/c. No problems with noise level when in the room. Rooms and hotel were clean and the lobby is beautiful. I’ve never stayed in a business room before but it seemed like a normal room to me, just on a higher floor.
There is construction going on nextdoor for a skyscraper and the construction noise made laying out by the pool less enjoyable, just an fyi to be aware, it looks like it would at least be another year of construction.
We were there during World Cup games and it was fun to have the big screen monitors and all the special World Cup decor and atmosphere.
I did a lot of research when selecting which hotel to stay in for Guayaquil: with safety, food, and easy access to activities as my top priorities, this hotel was perfect in these areas. Highly recommend.
