Fantastic hotel, just don't let them book you a taxi.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Beautiful hotel. Very comfy bed and effective quiet AC led to a great night's sleep.

Cons:

This would have been a 10/10. However, was let down on departure. I was calling a cab, but staff offered I used theirs as it's better and five mins away. Ten mins later still not here, staff kept saying five mins away. Eventually arrives 45 minutes after calling and asks for a rate nearly twice what the cab company quoted. Eventually we met halfway, but I still feel I was scammed by my own hotel.

Pros:

It was in the heart of Stone town. From this hotel it is easy to walk the old town tourist route as well as the bazaars.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. The hotel has old time charm.

Great for a festival if you are not spending time in the room.
Pros:

Th staff were friendly, the location was fantastic. Breakfast was descent, very friendly cleaning staff.

Cons:

I did not like my room because it was on the ground floor. I requested higher floor and double bed but i got ground floor and king bed.
