Not much
Well I paid $550 for ONE night for my 9yr old daughter & I. The parking is chaotic!! They don’t tell u that the approx 20 parking spots that r there r being shared with a hotel next door so when we came back from the beach im told that my car is about to get towed even though when I checked in I told the girl at desk that I was in spot #1. I was never told that the 1st 2 rows of approx 5 spots each weren’t allowed to b used. Then were given r room key & it’s directly behind the front desk & a restroom!! The room was the size of a small shed! The bathroom was nice but the ac barely worked & everytine the front door would open & close the entire room shook so needless to say it didn’t stop til 3am!!! The pool is very very small!!! There was some kind of film stuck to the lining of pool. Def doesn’t look like any of the pics! ITS LOCATED APPROX 3 FULL BLOCKS FROM BEACH & BOARDWALK!!! I read somewhere that it was 1500 feet from beach or “a stone throw a way” that’s a lie!!!!
Location and cleanliness. Staff was very friendly too.
The location is phenomenal. The owner was one of the nicest people I ever met. The staff were nice. It was nice swimming in the pool.
I didn’t mind sleeping on a futon, but the futon itself was flat, and I literally went home with a bruise on my hip..
It was very clean. It was modern and stylish. It was pretty close to the beach but far enough that it was quiet. They have a good amount of parking.
I appreciated having water and coffee/tea readily available all day.
While they did have coffee and water they did run out of cups at night and no one there to replace them after hours which was like 8pm.
Very basic and simple check-in and out
We didn't get maid service while we were there - not sure if we had to request it.
We also weren't provided with the wifi password when we checked in.
The property was clean and well maintained
The hotel is said to be the oldest in the city. Nice front porch. Nice entryway. It was clean. Very clean.
The reception was mediocre. The gentleman at the desk seemed preoccupied. We were able to check in 2 hours early for $20 cash. No beach tags because I did not book through him. This was a leisure one night getaway for myself and my soul sista. We never get the chance for things like this. Here's where we find out the room is on the 3rd floor and they have no elevator. We are in our early 50s but both have health issues. We asked for help. Told they were short staffed. It was rough. My friend's back got put off wack which put a damper on her experience. When you go to the beach you walk back and forth all night to your room. To pee. To freshen up. to have some wine. To use the restroom that is clean. No not with 3 floors up. Then another message in the middle of the night. Want to stay in the lot till 3pm? $40 more cash!! Are they claiming all this cash that they are getting off of people? The room was almost $400 for one night!? There was nothing special about it. What my friend and I wondered is what would happen if elders or people with real disability stayed there. I had no idea about this till we were there. I scoured the details on Booking. Nothing about all the floors and no elevator in the description. I feel like people should know.
Spacious rooms and very clean.
Parking was awkward.
My door was knocked on - once by someone asking to clean & I had to first go get dressed, then share that I had already confirmed late checkout with the front desk. This was disturbing my peace/comfort. The front desk should have communicated with the cleaning crew sufficiently without involving the guests.
At another time- A man knocked on my door without a uniform, asking me something in a different language I couldn't understand. This was uncomfortable for me as a solo female. I did not understand what he needed.
Room was hot. AC took a minute to cool off the room. Too many knocks on the door and it intruded on my privacy. Hated my location all the way at the end of the hallway on the third floor. Would have liked an elevator. Shampoo/condt/shower gel contraption broke in the shower.
I’ll we loved the location, the pool and the place itself was great!
We DID NOT like at all the fact that at our arrival there was NO ONE at the reception, we understand that maybe the receptionist could have been working on something and returning soon, we waited for a very long time until a lady came downstairs, she saw us, stopped without saying a word and then ran out of the building … we started looking for someone again and found a housekeeper, she went and knocked on a door, a man came out barefoot to the reception… no apologies, it was very unprofessional, it gave the impression he was sleeping.
We suggested they could put a bell for guests to announce themselves, and he responded “nah, we don’t do bells here”
We saw again the same lady at the reception later and she did not speak to us even we asked “do you speak anything? Can we speak to someone? and she just went silent.
It’s a shame the place is great, but unfortunately we will not be returning next year because the staff was not what we expected, we never experienced anything like it.
Das Bad war frisch renoviert und für die örtlichen Verhältnisse hervorragend.
Die Betten und vor allem das Bettsofa waren in einem erbärmlichen Zustand: weitgehend durchgelegen und instabil.
