Nantra Chaweng Beach, Samui

The rooms are basic and the bathrooms could do with some modernisation. The location is perfect, the staff are super friendly and theirs daily complimentary sheet changes and bottles of water which is always a nice touch. The rooms are also nicely air-conditioned

Specialy the staff is very helpfull with booking trips and gives you good advise about the area of Chaweng I have been there already about 7 times now and i will always come back to stay there!!! I’ve titled this hotel Enjoyable and given a 2 star rating because the room I booked was an economy room that did not have a window but included a private bathroom and shower and free breakfast. When I arrived I realize the toilet doesn’t flush and had someone come by to fix. Hours later it doesn’t flush again so I ask to move rooms for the same price and they had no problem with that which was wonderful. The next room I was moved to was wonderful. Had a huuuuge window and was much cleaner. However, both rooms need updated paint very bad. There’s dirt marks and chips in the paint everywhere. I don’t mind these kinds of things but I know so many others would. Free breakfast also means toast and cereal and bananas. Which was perfect for me, a solo traveler trying to save a buck.

Ask for a room with a balcony, and not a room with a window to the backyard.

Dugligt om du reser själv. Billigt och funktionellt inte mer en så. Fungerande ac men kunde varit renare. Fick trasiga lakan, vattenskadad och småmögligt på vissa ställen.

Beware of the photos in the internet. The hotel is not as it seems. We had to check out immediately since the rooms were smelling mold.
The linens and the beds are very dirty and the rooms are outdated.

The elevator was not working working and the stuff barely speaks english.

The overall hotel is dirty and especially the rooms and the bathrooms. No soap, no toileteries.

This was a bad experience.

This hotel is not super fancy but for a couple of backpackers, this felt like luxury for a wonderful price. We were here in August and the prices on Agoda were excellent. I think we paid around 15-20$ (canadian)/night. We originally wanted to stay 3 days but ended up extending for a week. Great location right next to the beach and near a night market. They had parking for our motor bike that we rented. (I believe you can rent directly from them but we found cheaper). Everything in our room worked well and the beds were extremely comfortable. The towels could have been newer/in better shape.

The people who worked there did not speak english but were as helpful as they could be. They allowed us to have as many water bottles as we wanted. Breakfast was pretty much just toast so we skipped that.

There is a pool that is about as wide as my arm span. We had a good laugh swimming in there. It is more decorative than anything. The beach is literally a 3 minute walk away so no issue for us.

Ultimately, this rating is more about the value and location rather than focussing on the flaws.

Great location nice hotel for price. Lovely lady on the night shift. Shame about the young guy during the day. Needs to smile and acknowledge guests. Free breakfast only if it is bread cearal toast and fruit. Would definitely return.

We booked economy room and from the website pictures it looked decent. However this is what we found.

Talked to reception they began laughing at us and did nothing. Will definetly not go again

The staff claimed to have no reservation for us. They refused to help us in any other way than to yell at us that we needed the booking number. Which we gave them each time they asked.
The language barrier is one thing but the sheer uninterested attitude makes it seem as if they really don't care.

The room is small but fair enough. Service is good. Near the beach. You can take a short walk to beach or start your day with fresh air at the rooftop. Very basic breakfast. Strategic location. The wifi is great.

飛行機の関係で午前中に到着したのですが、無料でアーリーチェックインさせてくれました。

4日間宿泊しましたが、掃除やベッドメイキングのサービスは一度もありませんでした。他の部屋ではドアにdon't disturbの札を下げている部屋もありましたが、私の泊まった部屋には札がありませんでしたので、部屋によってサービスが異なるのかもしれません。

朝食はバナナとパンとシリアルとドリンクだけです。

部屋の冷房は家庭用のエアコンで、自分で好きに調節できます。
東南アジアのホテルではよく強い冷房で部屋が冷蔵庫みたいになっていることがありますが、ここでは冷房の温度を自分で高めに設定できるので、日本の穏やかな冷房に慣れてい私には過ごしやすかったです。

夜の繁華街が近くにあり、夜遅くまで大音量の音楽が外から聞こえました。
音に敏感な方は耳栓を用意された方が良いと思います。

Room very small, no balcony or window and with smoking smell. It's just OK if you want to stay 1-2 nights alone but nothing very good...elevator broken when i visited. One positive thing the breakfast included in the price also if not big choice or what to have. Not felt very comfortable but convenient price

The Nantra is just off of the main road in Chaweng beach. Conveniently located near the beach, bars, shops and restaurants, it's perfect for a cheap and budget stay in the party of Chaweng.

The Nantra certainly isn't any more than a basic stay but it's got all of the necessities. We stayed here for 7 nights and it suited our budget stay.

Location (beach, shops and restaurants) - the main bars are about a 15mins walk but manageable

Cons:
- The bed is rock hard and with one pillow it a killer for your back after a few nights.
- There are patches on the ceilings of the room and bathroom where the paint is peeling which leak water quite often from the room above.
- Breakfast. Very, very basic and left out in the heat. Avoid.

I was at the Nantra Hotel for 8 days and overall was a good staying.
They have to improve their customer service at the reception
as for us, was quite difficult to talk them and also be more customer friendly
without be annoyed.

Cheap and cheerful with breakfast included. Breakfast is basic, coffee, tea, cornflakes, bread, butter, jam, marmalade and bananas. It fills you and is included in the price. Wifi was very good. Walls are pretty thin, you can hear a lot but it wasn't noisy during g our stay. Great location 3 min walk from the beach and loads of restaurants and shops there. It's a 10/15 minute walk from Central Festival. Very small room and bathroom with no where to put clothes but that want a big deal for me. Great a/c and a fridge in the room. I would recommend here and as someone else said in the reviews it was cheaper to book online with agoda than in reception. The pool is purely decorative.

Room is dirty. But good location

I booked with trip advisor for 500bath, nothing bad everything above standards. However room quite small, before I book am ask for room with window In my room have window but it face the brick view of opposite building. Friendly staff

When I looked for my remote control for the television set, I could not find it. I had to get the front desk clerk to get a remote control from another room. The continental breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:00 am needs to use powdered milk. The liquid milk spoils fast, as customers do not use it all daily. There are construction flaws in rooms, requiring renovations. Nantra is well-staffed, only by women. The maid service was prompt or efficient.
