Pros:

We loved the classic atmosphere - with the modern touch. Relaxing to the Upper Yarra river bubbling along outside our terrace was exactly what we needed after our drive from Melbourne. Lovely chats with the owner and her mother was icing on the cake.

Pros:

Wonderful stay, exquisit rooms and lovely staff. Breakfast was very generous - hot food and barista coffee. We had such a wonderful time. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beautiful with the river at the back. Such a nice property we will be back!

Beautiful surroundings, very friendly and hospitable staff.
The breakfast was amazing, cold and hot breakfast offered. The hot breakfast was by order and cooked to perfection. Coffee was also by order.

Very expensive stay for a 2 star experience
Pros:

Location was quite good

Cons:

No breakfast available as stated in package.
Night access to get in after 8pm was not well lit or marked. Very hard to find.
Lock on windows in our room didn’t lock at all - no one to call for help.
Hot water tap in room broken and when you turn it off it blasts very hot water all over you.
Television stations not working.
No reception on mobile available in our room, and no phone in our room at all - Huge safety issue.
No hair dryer or iron available.
Room in between stay was not turned over.
Felt like I was completely ripped off.

Perfect for a relaxing weekend away
Pros:

Such a gorgeous, relaxing place for a weekend away. The team were all so lovely and helpful, the river area is beautiful, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable room, easy (and pretty) walk into cafes/pub

Cons:

The only very small negative was sharing a decking with our neighbour (a bit awkward when you both want to use it). But overall it was a great stay and I’d still highly recommend

A special place, worth a visit.
Pros:

The location was fabulous - we enjoyed sitting down by the river with a glass of wine! The welcome, and service throughout, was superb - warm and friendly. The room was clean and had a shared area for sitting out. The breakfast was second-to-none and several wineries nearby are worth exploring. Would definitely recommend.

Cons:

The room was a little small and we had to drive into town, but that didn't take away from the great location and family feel of Oscar's. Ask for a room with a river view.

Wonderful, peaceful weekend away in stunning surrounds, minutes from Warburton.
Pros:

Oscars is a beautiful place, both inside the property and outside. The grounds are expansive and peaceful. The staff are so friendly, even greeting me by name as I walked through the front door on arrival. They were responsive to our requests. The room was spacious, very clean and more modern than I expected (the property has a lovely mix of old and new). Breakfast was simple and delicious and they were happy to accommodate my dietary requirements. The location is also great - it is just a few minutes drive from Warburton or you can walk along the trail. I highly recommend this hotel.
