Poor A/C. Poor service. Too pricey.
Pros:

Close to Carnegie Hall. Tasty food.

Cons:

A/C is central air, can't adjust and is not cold. Need to open window but still too hot.
Staffs are friendly. But their services are not up to standard. Very very poor coordination. Too expensive.

Absolutely fine for short visit to NYC
Pros:

The good: great location, friendly staff, one of the few hotels to offer a simple continental breakfast and basic evening drinks as part of their resort fee, has a good gym and the beds are large and comfortable.

The not so good: rooms are dark with poor lighting, a bit tired and in need of refurb, lamp shades damaged, sink cracked , room phone not connected, the evening drinks are basic (I mean who wants to drinks Corrs light or Miller lite beers unless there are no other options), wine choices not good (very cheap).

To summarise - absolutely fine for a short comfortable, well located visit to New York at a decent price but not a luxury or 5 star experience (rooms not as nice as the photos make it out).

STAY AT THE WESTHOUSE!!
Pros:

We had the best experience from beginning to end at the WestHouse.
Starting with our Concierge, Payge Gibbs Luke! She made booking the rooms so easy and had our rooms provisioned with beverages and a cheese plate upon arrival.
The rooms were beautifully appointed and the service throughout the hotel was friendly, prompt and professional. I can’t say enough about our experience. And you couldn’t ask for a better location. Easy access to Uptown, Midtown, Downtown and the West Side. We definitely will be back!!!

Solid find in NYC
Pros:

Just stayed at the WestHouse and it’s definitely going on my shortlist for next time I’m in the city.

First off, the service was top-notch. The check-in was actually a breeze& the staff were super polite and just generally easy to deal with, which isn't always the case in Midtown.

Housekeeping also did a great job; the place was spotless every day. The rooms are a little bit dated, but honestly, they’re decent enough and comfortable. Plus, the breakfast buffet had a decent spread, way better than your typical hotel toast and coffee.

The best part is easily the location, though. It’s fantastic for getting around. Safe to say this will be one of my go-to spots whenever I’m back in the Big Apple.

Very disappointing and not up to the standards of a Hilton program. I am a lifetime Diamond member
Pros:

Power experience was extremely disappointing. We were reserved to say that three nights but we checked out after one night. The thermostat would not cool the room down and we were told that we should use the fan that was already in the room. They said the HVAC unit is not control in the individual room. They did not have any washcloths in the building. Housekeeping said that they don't provide them with washcloths and they get that complaint all the time. I didn't have a remote control that worked on the TV and I never could get anyone to answer the phone for me to complain. I had to get on the elevator and run it down to the lobby to request a new remote. It took well over an hour before they finally brought a remote for the TV. Definitely not worth the money nor the Hilton honor points

Not worth it - room was ghetto!
Pros:

When we stayed here it was $550ish a night and other Hilton properties in the area were $250-300 a night. I thought dropping extra cash would give a better experience. This wasn’t at all what we experienced. The hotel room was trashy. Here’s the list of issues.

1. The bed is placed too far forward compared to the wall/headboard. My pillow repeatedly fell forward of the bed and came out with a gross smell on it. We tried moving the bed toward the wall but it’s solidly in place with a 8”-12” gap. Pic included.
2. No AC due to the building being old and only being able to either heat or cool the entire building. No fans in the room either. The only respite is a window that you can open maybe 4”. Pic of ac controller included.
3. My wife’s nightstand drawer wasn’t/wouldn’t close all the way. When we were assigned the $550 a night room it had a faulty drawer. This is a maintenance issue. Pic included.
4. The safe in the closet was not bolted down. It’s in a side table type thing and you can just move the locked safe out of the room with no effort. Pics included.
5. The light on the phone was blinking from the time we arrived to the room until the time we checked out. We picked it up and it’s some long pre-recorded message (the kind you’re forced to listen to before you know what number to push to talk to a real person). Pic included.
6. No cover on the door peephole. It’s 2026. Every hotel I stay at has a blocker. Not a $550 a night hotel room? Pic included.
7. The mirrors appear to have been damaged by someone putting something on it in the shape of a phallic symbol along with other decorative lines. Why haven’t these been replaced? Pics of 2 different mirrors included.
8. Next to the ice bucket there was only 1 included drinking cup while there’s clearly coasters for 2. Pic included.

Now on to the bathroom:

9. The toilet doesn’t flush unless you hold the handle down.
10. The only trash can in the bathroom is a recycling container without a bag. Why is my bathroom trash can some ghetto recycling container in a $550 a night hotel? Pic included.
11. The bathroom sink does not properly drain. In the time it takes me to brush my teeth with the water slowly running the sink water is close to the overflow hole.
12. The room was equipped with 3 large towels, 1 hand towel, no washcloths. $550 a night.
13. The shower floor tiles are very small and almost feel like they’re cutting your feet while you’re standing there. Pic included.

There are so many NYC hotel options in the general area for half the price of this hotel. I would not stay here again if it were $250 a night. This hotel isn’t worth any premium they charge over any nearby hotel. Save your money/points and stay elsewhere. This was supposed to be a luxury experience but it felt ghetto.

Good hotel in great location which was value for money but showing its age and need for updating
Pros:

Excellent location for midtown venues and connection to subway lines. Room was large by NYC norms, King bed as very comfortable and sheets changed every day. Door staff and concierges very helpful

Cons:

Room decor and hotel in general was needing refreshed. The air-conditioning and heating had a mind of its own. No light in the tiny closet. The elevator security card access was a nuisance. We had 3 rooms on different floors and we could not visit each other as we could only access the floor our keys were coded for

Beats The Plaza Hotel & Essex House any day! Hands down.
Pros:

I’m 53 yo. My kids and wife travel to NY as our tradition atleast 2-4x a year. I have truthfully say - the most amazing details oriented, attentive team, spacious room, not to mention free happy hour with hot delicious health food and free hot breakfast. Sonia thanks for keeping the smile and always ready to serve the guests. The terrace balcony and the relaxing views with city air, class guests, the glass of wine and company was another added plus. The Bon voyage with a come back again, two bottles of water for the car ride and the team that didn’t cut corners and nickle and dime was appreciated. I have to honestly and truthfully say - beats the experience at the Essex House and even the The Trump plaza any day and time of year. The smiles and always happy to serve was appreciated

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

If you're looking for a great spot in New York City, I can’t recommend WestHouse Hotel enough. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations from the moment I arrived.
The rooms are great clean and stylish, but still incredibly comfortable. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the small details to make the space feel warm and high-end without being over the top.
What really makes this hotel stand out, though, is the staff. They are so welcoming and genuinely happy to help with anything. Their service is on another level, and they really go out of their way to make you feel like a guest they actually care about.
The amenities are just as good. The terrace is a perfect place to unwind, and the breakfast was honestly delicious. Everything they serve is fresh and high-quality; it’s clear they actually care about the food.
Location wise, you can't beat it. It’s right by Central Park and Times Square, so you have easy access to all the best restaurants, bars, and sights.
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in NYC, but WestHouse is a standout. You definitely get what you pay for here. I’ll absolutely be staying here again whenever I’m back in the city.
