Clean and reasonable rates for this are of NY
Pros:

Staff was attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean, a tad bit dated (only some of the lights worked) but overall comfortable and a reasonable rate for the area.

Solides Mittelklassse Hotel, aber keine 5*
Pros:

Tolle Lage direkt am Centralpark und in der Nähe zu Metro.

Cons:

Das hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und verdient eine Renovierung. Der Preis ist dafür recht hoch.
Auf keinen Fall 5*.

Great hotel!
Pros:

This was our 6th time staying at the WestHouse and we cannot say enough about this hotel. The rooms are spacious (for New York), excellent breakfast, nice little happy hour and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Superb stay
Pros:

This is a fantastic hotel and I’ll be back again. The hotel is in a perfect location, all staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. Super comfortable beds and lovely rooms. The breakfast is great and it’s a bonus you can go and get tea and coffee from the terrace all day. Sonia at the terrace was fantastic and served large wines (of which there are choices of red and choices of white). It’s also great food at the happy hour all included in the residents fee.

If anything had to be different is for the sheets to be changed after a few nights, and for the decor to be updated a little. It could do with some colour as well.

Overall will be back - it’s a great location and will recommend to anyone I know who is going!

Hidden NYC Gem
Pros:

This is a long overdue review. But my procrastination is by no means a reflection of the impeccable hospitality and service I received from Vanessa and Shpresa. Both went above and beyond from the moment I stepped on the property. This included an upgrade to a corner suite. While I was grateful for the upgrade, I wasn't overly excited.

In my travels, I found NYC hotel suites are mostly suites in name only. I was sorely mistaken. The Westhouse Hotel Executive Suite set a new personal standard for future NYC travel. The room was far larger than I expected, well appointed and had an amazing view of Times Square. The included breakfast was also fantastic.

In addition to having excellent facilities and amenities, the hotel is perfectly located. It's walking distance to many popular NYC attractions i.e. Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, etc. It is all surrounded by numerous eating, drinking and shopping options. Lastly, it's less than hour away from JFK via the nearby E Train during rush hour.

In summary, I consider myself to be a seasoned travel. But the Westhouse Hotel far exceeded my expectations. The accommodations, location and staff were all outstanding. I highly recommend this Hidden NYC Gem.

Amazing Food service
Pros:

I visited WestHouse with my family from 2/16-2/20 I’d like to compliment the amazing service I received from Sonia in the Food terrace on the 23rd floor. She was beyond helpful and very nice. She made us feel super welcome and like at home. She has a great smile and amazing customer service. She is so kind and professional, made our experience so smooth and pleasant. Thank you Sonia!!

Poor value for money, a 3* hotel masquerading as a premium hotel.
Pros:

Location was reasonable, near the park and close to the subway station. The hotel is around 10 mins walk from Times Square, and 5 mins from Central Park.

Cons:

The hotel is clearly not a 5* hotel, and at best it is a 3.5*. Upon arrival, there was nobody at the reception desk and we had to wait 10 mins before somebody could check us in. The receptionist was helpful and apologetic, but clearly very overworked as the staff are stretched so thin. The room itself is a of mediocre quality - the hotel has only been refurbished superficially as the noise is so bad. You can hear all the traffic noise through the night despite being on floors 20 or above. I had specifically noted that our stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary and in return, we received a room directly under the breakfast area. Housekeeping do not replace empty toiletries over the weekend, and dust and debris collects in the corners which did not appear to have been cleaned for some time. There is no noise insulation between floors or rooms so all of the commotion to setup the area from 5am is so loud through the room - vacuuming, trundling of trollies, the crashing of cutlery and the conversation of the staff. You can hear conversations entirely taking place in the corridors. There is no proper AC system and the only options are to have it off or to have warm air pumped in the room. The included facilities for which a very high fee is charged are a disappointment, particularly if you have any kind of dietary requirement. The vegetarian options are limited and the same each day, and any attempts to speak with staff in the breakfast hall are met with disdain. The late afternoon snacks are also very limited and unless you tip heavily, there is no service from staff in terms of obtaining drinks. Overall, we regret choosing this hotel for our stay and would recommend travellers to consider elsewhere.

Not a 5 star property.
Pros:

Location

Cons:

It was dated and worn. This is a 3 star hotel pretending to be a 5 star hotel. Not worth the price given the current state of property and the lack of amenities.

Not a 5 star hotel
Pros:

We stayed here as a family of 3, this hotel is not a 5star hotel as advertised. Rooms were in need of an update and not very well cleaned. Very dusty, loo roll paper thin, air con not working this time of year 😂 mold in the bathroom, door handles hanging off. these sort of things you would not expect in a “5 star” hotel.
Beware of hidden charges, we booked this hotel via prestigia (3rd party) at the time of booking we paid £710 for 3 nights which was all included breakfast all taxes etc. when we got to the hotel we got told that an extra charge of $55 per adult per night would be charged for the amenities which we believed was included in the price we had already paid. We questioned this with reception who were not much help so we asked management who told us he would discount this at 50% ? It had been a long day traveling so we accepted this however when I arrive home I will be taking this further with prestigia and my credit card company.
Hotel is well located which is the good point. I would not recommend this hotel to others due to the points above.

Wonderful hotel in the theater district
Pros:

Used my free Hilton Diamond night for a quick theater trip. The Westhouse is perfectly located to see a show. Vanessa at the front desk is terrific. Rooms are clean and incredibly quiet. The Terrace happy hour and breakfast are an added plus. Doorman also a great asset. This will probably become my go to NYC hotel. Just great.

A Hidden Treasure!
Pros:

We’ve found a hidden treasure in upper midtown! Only blocks from Central Park, the theater district, and Times Square. The lobby is warm and welcoming, the room was clean and beautiful, the bed was like a cloud! The breakfast buffet and happy hour were an added bonus. The staff made us feel like royalty! We’ll definitely be returning!
