2nd visit this year w/grandkids. Great location, great staff, big clean room. We loved the breakfast. Lots of options. Didn't use weight room or pool this time due to time constraints. Easy to get to and good value.
Regular coffee at breakfast not available. Only dark roast and decaf available.
Basement parking available. Elevator access to all floors. Great full breakfast.
No pancakes or waffles with full breakfast.
Breakfast had many fine choices, especially appreciated the eggs and oatmeal. Easy to eat healthy as I try to do. Modern look and feel. Two separate sinks with one for grooming and one next to the toilet.
The layout of the room was odd. The toilet part of the bathroom was at the foot of the bed and had a frosted glass sliding door. Not much privacy. Whoever was contracted to do the wall paper did a horrible job. Big wrinkles in all the corners and unprofessional. No bathtub.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast they put on in the morning was nice.
I didn’t like that our room was on the first floor and the parking lot was right outside our window so we heard people annoy frequently
Nice, clean property.
Couldn’t find a place to sit at breakfast.
The front desk hosts are either hit or miss. Sometimes they are so friendly and other times I feel like a burden. The female bartender at this location is incredible. So friendly and makes the best cocktails!
Sometimes the front desk people can be offputting, lime we are being a burden. Others that work the front desk are great! Our room wasn't particularly clean when we arrived at our last two vists. There was some hair in the shower and the body wash was empty. There was also someone else's food in the fridge that was half eaten.
Room was on the back side of the hotel, so very quiet.
Room was comfortable size, bathroom clean, shower lovely. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, coffee good and strong.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t get Netflix to work, but Amazon Prime did.
This had to be one of the best mid-priced hotels that we have been to. The front desk people were great, the hotel and rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was very good as well. The room were spatial also. Would stay there again when in the area.
Bar in hotel. Staff. Accommodating our requests.
6/2026 Update 6 years after my previous review: Rooms are essentially the same, clean, spacious, comfortable, not exquisite but then I'm not paying an exorbitant price either. Unfortunately they still have the awful coffee makers in the rooms. Pool is large and the area clean. Grandkids love the swim. Food in the lobby bar which is open in the evenings is remarkably good. We made a dinner out of nachos and hot wings that came with a generous portion of potato wedges, both nicely presented.
It is clear that some cost saving measures have been put in place over the years. Housekeeping is no longer daily but rather every third day but repeatedly we were reminded that if there was anything the room needed they would happily provide it. Free breakfast still happens in the dining area every morning but the selection is slightly smaller, sadly no more waffles - area is kept very clean. Breakfast only has disposable utensils but they are compostable (evening bar service did have nice utensils and dinnerware. They now charge $10/day for parking. Given all of the above, the price for the room and services is still reasonable.
I'd like to end on the most positive note. The staff are so very friendly, attentive, and professional. If anything I would say they have even brought the staff/service to an even higher level than before. Every person I have encountered engaged us in conversation, asked if we needed anything, and made sure we were aware of available services. I do mean everyone (excuse me if I have not captured all of the names or misspelled), Lia at he bar, Kylie at the desk, Laurie in the kitchen, the desk clerk in the evening when we arrived, the other dining area attendant, the gentleman servicing the rooms upon our initial arrival - saw us in the parking lot - offered to get us a luggage cart, later rode up the elevator with him - made sure we knew we could ask for any amenities we needed for the room, and genuinely engaged in friendly conversation regarding our visit to the area as well as wishing us a pleasant stay.
This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff - one and all. Thank you. JZ
SpringHill Suites Bellingham is a very efficient, comfortable hotel — clean, quiet, and with everything you need, though nothing fancy.
The room was clean, the staff were pleasant, and having laundry onsite was very handy. Uber Eats came directly to the room door, which made things easy. There is also a bar/restaurant in the evening and a pool, although I didn’t use either.
I couldn’t rent a car because I only had a digital driver’s license, which I learned isn’t accepted by rental car companies, so I relied on the local bus. Surprisingly, that worked quite well. There’s a bus stop right across the road, with buses every 15–30 minutes into the evening, going straight downtown.
I’d highly recommend going downtown to eat and drink — that’s where the interesting restaurants, bars, and shops are. Around the hotel it’s mostly strip malls and chain stores.
Overall, a comfortable and practical stay.
Hotel is fine. It needs and is getting updates. The room was large and everything was fine.
Everything. Especially cleanness. It's what matters the most to me in a hotel. But also the beds were very comfortable, the size of the room was very generous with a very smart and convenient layout. Plenty of parking outside and inside, underground.
Very good breakfast, with fresh and quality food.
