Jardin Escondido feels like a home away from home. The staff is very friendly and helpful and it was a nice oasis to return to after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is close to loads of very good restaurants (within walking distance).
There was nothing that I did not like. The only little remark I have is that the hotel could stock up the wine fridge in the common living area a bit more often :-)

This is a small boutique hotel in the Soho district of Palermo in Buenas Aires--it is an excellent location with many restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. Having visited the La Boca, Puerto Madero, and Centro regions of BA, I would definitely favor the location of this hotel in Palermo. The hotel and its courtyard are lush with plants, trees, and vegetation. Beautiful. The front desk staff were amazing, well-informed, and very accommodating. Breakfast was great and the staff will make you tea or coffee at any time of the day.
The only issue was that the water was not working when we arrived and had not been for at least 2 days. We were not advised of this until one of us used the bathroom and were unable to flush the toilet. We think that they should have been direct and upfront regarding this issue rather than appearing to hide this problem. Fortunately, this was corrected after we had been there for about 18 hours. In the meantime, they provided us with a large container of water, bottle of wine, and wipes.
I would also say that if you are considering reserving the "studio" you should be comfortable walking up a steep and narrow flight of outdoor stairs. This room is also fairly small with only a double bed. It was fine for us, but some may have not been happy. The other rooms appears much larger.

Lovely boutique hotel.with a cozy home atmosphere, beautiful decor and garden. Rooms are spacious and amenities excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms on the street are noisier. For Buenos Aires the prices are too high however
The staff, breakfast and location were all fantastic.
The room had good facilities and was comfortable but very dark, even with the lights on. The bathroom was tired, lacking storage space and had no bath or shaving mirror.
