Australians with young family visiting South India for the first time. The staff were polite, attentive and made everything easy; picked up from the airport after midnight, provided delicious traditional breakfasts, clean rooms, provided water bottles and clothes washing on request (additional fee), arranged drivers as needed. This was a very good experience. The care taker Saiyer was very attentive. Highly recommend 👌

This is a well kept small hotel set back into the jungle, about five minutes away from Trivandrum, with the sounds of native birds filling the air in the morning and evening. The rooms are comfortable, with beautiful tropical views, and the staff very accommodating.

The caretaker of the property went beyond his duties to make us comfortable and arranged for our dinner and some personal needs.

Way too overpriced. There is no telephone in the room. Number shared by the owner is not always reachable. They did not provide bed sheet and there was no hot water in bathroom.

Had a very good stay at Vasudevan for one night. Only thing we noticed was, one of the rooms had a slightly bad smell, and the bedsheets seemed a bit old. The other room that we had also booked did not have such issues. Overall, very good stay. The host was extremely gratuitous, and the breakfast was good. Would recommend this place, for anyone wanting to stay in that area.

We stayed for a night.. The room was well organized and clean.. Bathrooms were very neat and clean. Bedrooms were very neat. One additional tv room with prime and Netflix available

The staff was extraordinary and gave us a great deal of assistance and effort. We felt very cared for. Shyam was invaluable in his care and assistance in navigating a new culture for us. An incredible employee in the breadth of his knowledge and his willingness to answer every question.

Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise hat alles gepasst. Der pfiffige Hotelbesitzer hat alles im Griff, organisiert Ausflüge, Taxis und gibt super Hinweise zum Essen gehen. Auch das Frühstück lässt sich individuell gestalten und wird mit regionalen Speisen gespickt. Alles super, es lohnt sich hier vorbeizuschauen.

Property was clean. Staff was very friendly and was ready to help with anything. Location was a bit away from the rest of the hotels, but the staff had transportation for very reasonable charge for our trip to the airport.

I will recommend this to anyone who is looking for a safe & comfortable accomodation without burning your wallet.

Vasudevam is provides for a comfortable stay away from the craziness of the main streets of Trivandrum. The staff and owner are accommodating and helpful.

It is a very small property of 4 rooms; no power back up and not worth for the money charged. Not even fans available when there was no power which was a major problem during my stay.
Hall has TV but no fan; food home type but only one type which they charge Rs 150.
Over all it is not recommended for the charges of over 3000 per day; I do not recommend.

Remotely located in between the small residential area even getting auto is an issue.

The owner came to meet us and answered all our questions. There is a cook on the premises so order your dinner there as there is nothing within walking distance. Of course if you have transportation this is not an issue. The food served was south-Indian vegetarian food and was quite tasty. A coffee maker in the room would have been helpful for people like me who like coffee first thing in the morning. However, our stay lacked nothing and was very pleasant and comfortable.

Very friendly staff. Really tasty high quality home cooked food. Have a Car available for driving around or will make arrangements to rent from partners. amenable to procure identified art works from friends / partners.

Need to provide cash for incidentals , be prepared (and even room &aboard fee if not paid in advance to booking agent like Expedia)

The staff is so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help me and accommodate my requests. The place was quiet and clean - just the place I wanted to be after a long journey and I was picked up in the middle of the night. The food is delicious and healthy. I highly recommend staying here anytime you are coming to Trivandrum.

Perfect for a quiet get away from the traffic and sounds of the centre of Trivandrum; Vasudevam is a gem, just 20 minutes by an auto rickshaw from the main state transport bus stop, tucked away in a lane in Edugramom. The host, a gracious, perceptive and very helpful person understands what it takes to ensure a comfortable and home away from home for travelers. The rooms are comfortable, very well equipped, and include a living area and kitchenette and dining area, and very neat, clean and spacious bedrooms and an attached bath. If you wish to hire a car to travel around Trivandrum or visit places of trourist attraction over a hundred kilometeres away, you can hire a car from Vasudevam, and rest assured that the car is driven by a good and trusted driver. We stayed at Vasudevam only for two days but right from the time we stepped in, which was rather late, we felt very comfortable. The in-house chef prepares some delightful spreads. The only note of caution would be for those who wish to fully avoid chilly, then you must inform the host. For the money charged, Vasudevam offers compelling value, definitely a tough competition for the four-star and five-star hotels in the city. If life brings me back to Trivandrum, I would definitely choose to stay in Vasudevam, and I recommend it to others.
