Grand Plaza Hotel - Takhasosi Riyadh

Nice room and clean. Bed was VERY hard. There was shower and bath in room, but shower not working, so forced to take bath. View directly on wall, that close that room was bit dark. On 1 occasion housekeeping forgot to clean room. Quite central and convenient located. Staff friendly. Fridge and safety box in room. Nice gym. Nice cleanpool; as sun didn’t reach it it was surprisingly cool. Could do with thinner duvet as now at night ongoing pretty loud airco required.

the hotel could not get me a taxis.the bed was very very uncomfortable.

Wifi was very poor and overall condition of the hotel is not good. Not recommended for business travelers to stay. Breakfast everyday is the same with limited choices. I had the same sausages and eggs everyday for 3 days.

Me and my wife stayed 1 night only. Check in and check out were fast, but they asked me for 200 SR as deposit i dunno why cause the minibar has only 2 cans of Colca Cola!!
There is no signs and guidance for the arrangement of guests rooms infront of the elevator so we walked whole the corridor looking and searching for our room!
We booked as 2 guests but they only provided us with one towel and one slippers, when I asked to diuble them they brought only one extra medium towel and then they said slippers is out of stuck!!
The pool coffee shop is not belong to hotel so there is a minimum charge 35 SR to set there!
Overall hotel was good for those coming for business trip, it was near to KKUH and KAUH only 10 minuets driving.
Recommended.

Your average "okay"Hotel nothing special nothing terrible. They always request a 300 SR as insurance.

If you are planning to stay in this hotel, here is my experience:

Pros:
- Staff are very nice and responsive.
- Good location

Cons:
- Terrible internet speed. So if you are on business and have to download or upload files you have to wait for a long time.
- Floor in the room is very dirty. If you walk barefoot, your feet will turn black. Nothing was done about it when I informed the manager on duty. I even showed the guy who came to clean the room how dirty it is but he doesn't know how to clean it.
- AC unit in the room I stayed in should be cleaned. The room became full of dust after I turned the AC on. Clean the filter or check the unit.
- My room was not cleaned one day. I came from work at 8:30 PM to find the room was not cleaned. The manager on duty was helpful and offered to clean it.
- The lights in the bathroom are so low, too dark.

I hope the above is helpful to others and I wish the management of this hotel will take care of the above issued for other guests.

Easyer for me to tell about what I didn't like, that is: coffee and tea in the room with no creamer nor milk

The Hotel was overall good with big and clean rooms except for the bathrooms. Very little water in the shower making it difficult to bath and the drainage was bad. Else everything was good. Cheap food. Excellent location with mosque just below the hotel. Good supermarket and cofee shops nearby. Would recommend it and would prefer staying in the hotel again provided I get a good room with a good baathroom.

The room was clean. It has a nice design and good amenity. Pool, restaurant, cafe, and business center services are available. Friendly staff and reception. What I didn't like was the bathroom smell, I even had to buy an air freshener spray in order to be able to use the bathroom!! Also the room had no window.
I will remember this place by its awful smell. If they can repair the plumbing issues I would definitely visit them again.

Hotel facility is very very terrible and definitely need renovation. 1 out of 2 elevators was out of service. Although, they upgrade my room to a suite but this suite was dusty, look old, TV not working, no towels in the toilet, or even a room service menu. I went to the gym facility and I was totally surprised to find only one trademail and 4 other useless machine and all of them need maintenance. Moreover, it's not easy to go there or find a taxi in front of the hotel. you'll have to wait a long.

Good

The room had no windows, the bathroom leaked all over the floor, the bathroom smelled like sewer and so did the room. Would not recommend to anyone to stay here.I could go on but could not get out of this so called four stra (actually I wonder how it got a rating at all.) This place does not meet any standards to be acceptable accomodations for a 4 star.

The room was cleaned, but it wasn't clean! I found some lice moving on my pillow!!

This hotel was situatied next to building site. The hotel itself was ok but the surrounding area was dirty and unpleasant. My room was without a window and the decided to clean it at 5pm whe. I was trying to do sone work. The bathroom the walk in shower water went all over the bathroom. Both dangerous and upleasant. The food was average at best. This for me was not a 4 star hotel. The spa area was closed.The staff with the exception if one or two were at best i different. I hated every minute if my stay.
