Le Meridien New York, Central Park

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Central Park and overall found it to be a very good option, especially for the price and location.

The hotel is exceptionally well located, just steps from Central Park and within easy reach of everything. The rooms are small, as expected in New York, but very well designed. They make smart use of the space, and the materials, finishes, and overall condition feel modern and well maintained.

One highlight was the concierge, who was very friendly and helpful. Also, booking through Marriott.com comes with great extras, including destination fee credits, which added real value to the stay.

That said, the reception staff could improve their service attitude. They were not particularly proactive or welcoming, and interactions felt somewhat transactional rather than genuinely hospitable. As an Elite Bonvoy Member I was expecting one of the perks I usually get at Marriott hotels, but I didnt. The staff didnt oven bothered mentioning they could give such perks.

Another downside is that many rooms are connecting rooms, and the soundproofing between them is not ideal. Unfortunately, I could clearly hear my neighbor coughing throughout the night, which made it harder to rest.

On the positive side, the rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers great views. The cocktails were excellent, and while the menu is small, the food quality is very good. The smashburger was outstanding, honestly much better than the one at Burger Joint next door. Hands down, the best smashburger I’ve had in my life. The french restaurant on the ground floor is also very pretty, though the food there was more average.

Overall, I would stay here again. It offers very good value for money, a fantastic location, and a comfortable stay, with just a few areas that could be improved.

Highly recommended for its location by Central Park, restaurants and shopping! Staff was kind and helpful service. The first thing I notice in a room is cleanliness in which this gets 5 stars. The Paris Bar is amazing, and for desserts recommend their chocolate mousse. Le Jardin Rooftop was a great location for pics of the city. I travel a lot and would come back and stay here again. I love the gym equipment! location was great and special thanks to professional staff - Eddy Urena, small talking with this lovely person made me feel comfortable and relaxed!

The roof top bar is stunning and the location is perfect.

The hotel's location is fantastic just a few blocks away from Central Park. I found our room to be very comfortable and well-appointed. Staff in general are ok, though they aren't particularly friendly and they seem annoyed with basic requests.

This charming hotel in a great location is perfect when visiting NYC. Located near Central Park and a block from 5th Avenue. First you are greeted by very friendly doormen, then you step into the lobby, and you are away from the busyness of the city. The Paris Bar restaurant has great food and drinks. The restaurant staff could not be more accommodating. My contact at the hotel, Claudia Timmons went above and beyond to make sure my meeting, and attendees were well taken care of. I look forward to returning!

Attended for NRF Conference. Experience: Rude people with terrible service in the front desk, waited 15min on old to get my final bill; upon leaving everyone on their cell phone, including door man. No consideration or concern for customer service. Property is old and run down with no real updates to the rooms, only lobby looks modern for show. Will never stay here again. So sad that Marriott has not done something to address this property. As a Bonvoy Elite member I'm very disappointed in Marriott as late. Maybe time to look for at Hilton or IHG properties.

Muy buena ubicacion. A solo 2 cuadras del central park y una cuadra de la 5ta avenidad. Muy juena conexion con medios de transporte para todas las areas de new york.
El Hotel en si es un estilo antigo con muy buen gusto. Muy buena atencion del personal. Al llegar no enteramos que teniamos 25 usd diarios disponibles para usar en el restaurante o el roof top del hitel, eso fue un gran plus.

The service and Brasserie were very good.
