Lovely and characterful hotel, but unfortunately not somewhere we would return to due to the significant noise issues.
Pros:

We stayed at Mason Panda Verde for three nights in April 2026. The hotel itself is lovely and full of character, with a really quirky feel that we genuinely enjoyed. Our room was comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely fabulous - easily one of the highlights of our stay. The waiting staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and very helpful.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by noise. It appeared we were staying during a wedding weekend, which we weren’t made aware of in advance. When earplugs were delivered to our door, we realised we were likely in for a loud evening - and it turned out to be far more than that. The music was so loud that the room was actually shaking, making it impossible to relax. In the end, we had to leave the hotel for the evening and wait for the music to stop before returning.

What added to the frustration was the response from reception staff, who were nonchalant at best when we raised the issue. While the hotel has a lot to offer, the lack of warning about such a major event, the level of disruption, and the response we received was very disappointing.

Beautiful hotel. Love the rooms, the rooftop. Fabulous location. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Cons:

Can be a bit noisy but I think we just just had this experience one night because there was a loud wedding next door.

Excellent Property that fits the Old Town
Pros:

Beautiful property with beautiful decorated rooms with courtyard. The upstairs terrace overlooking the town and volcano with flowers blooming! Pablo gave us best in class service.

Cons:

Our room was on the small side so send the money to get larger room. Also took a while for the hot water to start flowing.
