Nice Hotel
Pros:

Room was clean and breakfast was nice. Aircon worked and big open window was usable.

Cons:

Check-in was busy and staff seemed in a rush, so didn't get much of a welcome (such as the bar is still open for food). Breakfast was very busy as everyone wanted to get there for bang on 7am, maybe start breakfast a bit earlier? I would've liked to have been able to stay on a higher floor but the room was allocated before I checked in.

Pros:

Location and modern style

Cons:

Car parking on booking.com said free, no reservation.
On arrival they wanted to charge me £6 for parking. It's not the amount it's rather the unpleasant feeling.

Pros:

Excellent check in and check out.

Cons:

I requested a wake up call at 7am the next morning as my phone wasn't working properly. I never received one. Fortunately I didn't miss my interview but was very disappointed that this wasn't followed through.

good hotel facilities & location but not friendly or welcoming.
Pros:

room facilities were good, big bed, lovely shower. Bar area and breakfast were nice.

Cons:

To be honest, on arrival i have never felt less welcome somewhere in my entire life. We arrived about 2.50pm, I did know that check-in was from 3.00, however we approached reception to let them know we had arrived and register our car in the car park as per the instructions. As we approached the desk a man glanced up and said 'check in is from 3' and that was it. No, welcome to the hotel, would you like to wait in the bar. Not even a hello. So whilst the hotel stay was good don't expect a warm welcome.

Very good comfortable hotel for Nottingham, particularly the University.
Pros:

Great breakfast and comfortable room. Good location for visiting Nottingham.

Cons:

Aircon switched off overnight making the room temperature uncomfortable on a hot day. Shower pressure was a bit weak.

Perfectly fine just not so special
Pros:

Perfect location for our event at Wollaton park

Cons:

Starting to look a little run down and tired compared to last year when we stayed. The room service menu was not great so we went elsewhere for food. A real shame because the beef burger and sticky toffee tiramisù last year were a highlight! Little extra touches from last year that really elevated the experience were gone I.e no towel art and rose petals on the bed
