Great hotel, comfortable, great location
Pros:

Comfortable beds, clean en-suite, good shower facilities. On campus so excellent for university open days. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The restaurant was good for breakfast but the evening meal choice was limited and small portions and expensive for what was on the plate.

Ok for a couple of nights.
Pros:

Nice and modern

Cons:

Bed was too soft and room heating system didn’t work properly. Had to have a portable oil radiator brought up that made lots of noise.

Food allergies must be taken seriously
Cons:

Near miss with my severely allergic child at breakfast. Allergen menu was incorrect. A member of staff notified me that the hashbrowns at breakfast were cooked in the same oil as the fish but this was not on the allergen list on display in the restaurant.

It is a very good hotel and a very pleasant stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, room and bed great. We chose to eat dinner at the restaurant on one of two evenings which we normally would not and it was much better than expected.

Cons:

Disappointingly the housekeeping staff decided that a smart shopping bag (branded and in good condition - a bit like a Tote - but card/strong paper) with some other bags inside it (which were for wrapping and transporting shoes) was rubbish and removed it during making up the room. It had not been left remotely near the bin. Housekeeping staff should not be making decisions about what guests are determining is rubbish and what is not. The rule should be, if in doubt leave it. Far better for a guest to ask for waste removal than where's my bag gone! Helpfully reception gave a hessian Tote as a replacement.
