I didn’t like very much about this property. The shower head wouldn’t work so very little water coming out. The room wasn’t what I expected, it was small, no microwave, no soap. I actually thought I was booking a motel room but it was more like a hospital corridor with doors off everywhere. Wouldn’t stay there again.

It was close to amenities such as a Tesla charger and MacDonalds. Nice large room. Comfortable bed.Lovely and quiet.

Pros:

Lucky it was not a hot night but aircon did not work. Late check in so rang about 9.30 they said were busy so would come a bit later. Heard nothing so slept on bed after 11 pm no covers. Told receptionist in morning when checking out.

Pros:

Long hallway with adjoining rooms on both sides is like Alcatraz. Car had to be parked 100 m from room which is not mentioned in advertising.

Beautiful, clean, practical cabins with own car park right at your doorstep.
Friendly staff who were happy to provide fresh towels on request. Cabins had kitchenette which was very convenient. Situated right next to Calliope truck stop (servo and Maccas).

Pros:

Convenient if travelling along the Pacific Way but 20mis drive to Gladstone. Bathroom far too small except for the shower recess which was adequate. The window had good security screens, but window was screwed fixed so could not obtain any fresh air. Air con was noisy and could not open the window inlieu of using the old air con.

This "motel" appears to be a converted Nursing Home not a purpose built motel. Im not yet old enough to be staying in a Residential Aged Care Facility.
