Beach Placid Resort & Restaurant

Although the staff are very friendly and accomodating what I don’t like about the place is that there were plenty of mosquito. We arrived home with my son lots of insect bites in his face :( i hope they will make an action regarding this. But overall we like our stay. Thank you!

I stay with my Fiance's family from Nov 1-3, 2019 and have few issues at the hotel.

1. The 1st night was horrible, we killed 4 cockroaches in the comfort room and the room is already old and not well maintained.
2. We told the front office to clean the room and request for a Baygon, while we arrived at 6 pm the room was not cleaned, we requested to change the room instead and good thing they have available room for another night.

Will not recommend this hotel.

The beach was the best thing about the trip.
The staff aren't that nice. They're more concerned about doing extra money out of the me by offering all sorts of trips on the side. The worst part if the place was the BEDS! Awful awful beds. A hammock would have been more comfortable.
Also, if your kitchen staff can't make food for less than 40 minutes, maybe get a microwave for your guests. It took more than an hour for our food to be prepared.

How can i describe our stay?? Nightmare! Rooms were dirty, and outdated. Aircon was small that it didnt cool up the room. Food orders takes long time. Like you get your food after 1 hour or more. Pictures looks nice on the website but it looks disgusting in reality. I wont recomend this hotel!! And hotels.com should not list this resort.

Our stay is so,so. The amazing part is the location of the Hotel. All rooms are tired definetly as a 10 years Hotelier you need a major refurbishment. Outside looks lovely but indise the rooms and bathroom are not pleasant at all. However it is clean. Please owner you have to do a refurbishment.

The comfort room needs repair especially the lavatory.

Great place to stay with a beautiful beach.

A Lot of mosquito inside in the Room..and no Internet

I book 2 beds room, but when we got there, they gave us 1 bed room and smaller. I paid a higher price, and there was no refund.

Make sure to call the hotel 5 days before to check if your booking passed thru. Toilet water pressure and shower is low, you can use the shower outside though. No bidet on non beach front. Restaurant takes around 45 minutes to give your food. Don't take front desk words seriously, always prepare for alternatives.

The resort was nice. The room is quite a bit small but it's clean. The Crew in the hotel were very accommodating and their food were great as well. Over all it's very relaxing. I hope to be back soon. Thanks and God Bless!

Staff was nice on average. Food menus were limited, food quality average but overpriced. Upon arrival after check in time reception didn’t have the room that was booked through Expedia, and we were provided a room of smaller size until guest checked out of room we should have had. This rooms double bed had several live black ants between the fitted and flat sheets. The toilet seat mount was broken. The sliding chain lock was broken off the wall and dangling from the door. There were no towels, soap or shampoo for tenets to use. Shower curtain length didn’t meet the floor which results in wet feet from shower water at the sink and toilet. Trinket and fresh seafood vendors are allowed to wander the resorts beachfront and road in front of all the rooms. Can hardly believe it was this so bad. Couldn’t get another place due to holiday crowding.

The beachfront room was nice however the airconditioning was inadequate
There was hair left in the shower cubical from the last guests
The food vairies from excellent to not so great depending on which cook their using at that time
I would stay there again but choose a roon off the beachfront as it is much cheaper with no real disadvantage to the access of the beach and facilities

Very smelling close to my cabin ....i ask ...take 24 hours before they cleaning , in front my cabin was stand all day peoples sell bracelet , ask me always if i want to buy, very inconfort,,,,,,,,,, no load for mobile , no service room , no cleaning , no security , the freezer was not wather , air conditioner very week .....Placid Resort very dissppoint

Great staff Good location beach ok no problem at check in/out

Staff were understanding and accomodating. Clean. Secured. Peaceful. Day or night, it's always a good time for family to have picnic by their beach. We spent 3 days 2 nights but I wish we had stayed longer.

Nice resort along thw beach. There are a several chooces of rooms to choose. Beach is also nice and the the other resorts nearby is also nice. Good environment. Can oark your car right in front of the single detached room. Recommended.

Stayed for two nights in a Non Beachfront Cottage. The room was very simple, but had all we needed.
The hotel staff was friendly, but did not provide much information unless asked. For example, they didn't tell us that we could not flush paper in the toilet... This problem was (thankfully!) resolved quickly. The staff will be able to arrange for several activities if asked. We had a boat take us to Virgin Island for the first day, got thai massage in our room, and had a private guided tour of the island on the last day.

about the hotel- room was very big for the two of us.. With the price paid.. it is just what we expected with a little more surprise added in the form of the good bed, clean room and excellent staff service.

about the location - it is a must you rent a motorcyle to get around the island especially to the market at the other end as this is the best way to travel the single main road.. And also if you want to go resort and bar hopping , it is very convenient if you have a motorcycle as the resort is far from these places.

About the Beach - while it is good for pics and fb posts, swimming experience is not great as beach is unusable. Very shallow beach after the shore with very strong waves as you wade out further. You may get carried away and with no visible lifeguards (i dont thing there is one even with other resorts nearby), there is a danger of death here. So dont swim here ! Better alternative is to rent a boat and visit nearby islands like Virgin island which has a terrific beach front and excellent snorkelling all around it plus they have lifeguards to watch for any accidents.
