There is a restaurant next door if you dont want to venture out. Next to that is a small casino. Going to the port, an Uber driver is short but not walkable.
Fantastic experience, staff was welcoming, helpful, hotel was great location, clean and comfortable.
This feedback is specific to Room 715. There is a clear and ongoing issue with the room door that I am confident the hotel is already aware of but has not addressed. The door does not close on its own and must be physically wrestled both to open and shut. It drags against the frame, creating excessive resistance and loud, disruptive noise each time it is used.
This goes beyond normal wear and tear and is more than a minor inconvenience. Either the door needs to be properly adjusted on the frame or shaved slightly (approximately 1/16 inch) so it can open and close smoothly as expected.
More concerning is what this reflects about internal processes. Housekeeping and other frontline staff interact with this door multiple times daily and should feel empowered—and supported—to report obvious maintenance issues with confidence that they will be addressed. As a guest, I should not have to struggle with a malfunctioning door or be the one to flag a problem that is so apparent.
This is both a maintenance and a work-culture issue, and addressing it would immediately improve the guest experience in that room.
Additionally, the room had a strong odor resembling cat urine. We had to leave the air conditioning running continuously in an attempt to mask the smell and help circulate and filter the air. This further detracted from the comfort of the room and suggests the need for deeper inspection and remediation before the room is assigned to guests.
Aside from these issues, our stay was pleasant overall. The location is convenient, with several walkable options nearby, including Plaza del Sol and Sazón, which made it easy to step out for shopping and enjoy a good meal without needing to drive.
Bed was great. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok.
Receptionist was a super friendly guy with very high aspirations to advance.
The hotel was not worth the money and the surrounding area lacked the real Puerto Rican experience. I was treated poorly because I didn’t speak Spanish. The food was so gross at the hotel, they used old oil to make the food and it made me sick. It was surprisingly inedible. If you go, get the chain restaurant food if you can. But better to stay at a better hotel or just go to a different place entirely
I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and overall had a very good experience. The property is fabulous for business travelers—modern, comfortable, and conveniently located near almost everything you might need. The staff was friendly, and the environment felt safe and professional.
However, there were a couple of areas for improvement. First, I noticed there were no laundry services available. For an extended stay, this was inconvenient, as I had planned to use the hotel’s laundry service instead of ironing shirts myself. I recommend adding this service or at least promoting an external laundry delivery option for guests.
Additionally, housekeeping was inconsistent. On Sunday, the 23rd, my room wasn’t cleaned, and I had to request service. Then on Tuesday, the 25th, it wasn’t cleaned again—I was too tired to follow up, but I did inform the front desk.
Despite these issues, the hotel has great potential and is an excellent choice for short business trips. With a few improvements, it could easily become a top option for longer stays as well.
Great hotel with great staff. Minutes from San Juan, SJU, and local food and great coffee. Staff is extremely professional and pays attention to details.
Upon arrival in the room, I checked the bed and saw human hair and stain on the sheets. It appeared to be used and not changed. I went downstairs to front desk to request a different room. Front deck did not accommodate. They said house keeping will change sheets. I waited in the lobby as house keeping were changing sheets. Later, the manager told me sheets have been changed and I can go back to the room. However, when I went back, the room was a mess - sheets on the floor and bed undone. I had to go to front desk again only to be told that house keeping actually had not finished changing the sheets - no apologies was offered at the time. I went upstairs and waited more. Housekeeping eventually changed the sheets. However during the two nights stay, my skin was irritated every time I touched the sheets. The pillows were smelly too. Very very bad condition. Very unclean. It was a the worst experience I have ever had with a Hyatt hotel. I have the Hyatt credit card and has been a customer for years. This was a terrible experience.
We chose this hotel for the final few days of our trip to Puerto Rico, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The entrance and exit areas were cramped, making access to the hotel difficult. Parking was also a challenge, and we were unable to have breakfast due to overcrowding and lack of available seating.
It appears that the hotel did not adequately plan for the number of guests and conference attendees present during our stay. The layout and facilities were not equipped to handle the volume, and it felt as though conference personnel were prioritized over regular guests. Overall, the customer service fell short of expectations
My recent visit fell significantly short of expectations.
I had booked four rooms, anticipating a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, we encountered a series of issues that collectively led to a very unsatisfactory experience.
Firstly, the hotel was hosting a week-long activity during our stay. While I understand hotels often host events, the scale and management of this particular event seemed to overwhelmingly prioritize event attendees over regular paying guests. The common areas, including the lobby and especially the breakfast area, were consistently overcrowded. This made it exceedingly difficult and uncomfortable for my children and me to access and enjoy the breakfast service, which is a key amenity.
Beyond the challenges in the common areas, the condition of the rooms was particularly alarming. One of the rooms assigned to our party was found to have evidence of rodents, a discovery that was deeply disturbing and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one of Hyatt's caliber. Furthermore, another room suffered from a strong and pervasive moldy odor, rendering it uninhabitable and necessitating an immediate room change upon arrival, which caused considerable inconvenience.
In my own room, the air conditioning unit proved to be problematic and difficult to regulate, contributing to an uncomfortable environment. Adding to our discomfort, the sheets in my room were noticeably soiled, and the sofa bed also exhibited a concerning lack of proper cleaning. Such basic cleanliness issues are fundamental to a pleasant stay and were disappointingly overlooked.
Given these numerous and significant issues across multiple rooms and the general overcrowding that impacted our ability to comfortably use hotel amenities, I must convey my profound disappointment. Contrary to the scale provided in your survey, I would unequivocally not recommend the Hyatt Place Bayamón to family, friends, or colleagues planning to visit the area.
Hotel is located in a great location, rooms are nice and comfortable and staff is attentive. Parking is pricey though but included breakfast makes up for it
During my recent stay at Hyatt Place Bayamón, I encountered several issues with the room’s condition and cleanliness that did not meet Hyatt’s usual quality standards. Specifically:
There was a visible scratch on the mirror.
The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke upon entry.
Crumbs were found around the bed area, indicating inadequate cleaning.
Only one washcloth was provided for two guests.
The soap in the shower had already been used and had hair on it, suggesting the bathroom was not properly sanitized before our arrival.
These issues made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing, especially given Hyatt’s reputation for maintaining high-quality accommodations.
Incredible costumer services
The hotel staff is friendly and are willing to help you. My room and hotel common areas were nice and clean. The adjacent parking was a plus. I enjoyed my stay.

This is me and my family 2nd time staying at this hotel we love staying here, the staff is amazing.
I asked for one extra wash cloth since they only put one on the bathroom and for someone to adjust the thermostat because the room was freezing. No one ever came. It was okay since I was only staying for one night.
Outstanding hotel, exceptional employees and services, excellent facilities, awesome breakfast, all for an accessible/affordable price!
Great hotel, spotless, super friendly staff, big rooms with sofas
I hate paying for parking
