If you want to feel of a Edwardian mansion with a slate Gothic tinge to it… Please stay at the ambassador hotel!
Pros:

The place has this interesting dark, gothic mansion feel to it, which I found very interesting and added to a different kind of ambience. . The front of the building also looks like it could be like a Gothic castle straight out of a movie especially at night.

The gal working the bar in the downstairs restaurant- forgive me for not remembering her name… She was very young and I believe it was only her second or third week. anyway she was excellent and I spoke with her throughout the evening and was very very impressed by her service, her professionalism in her smile

Cons:

The front desk people were… OK. Not the greatest in terms of the warmness and making me feel as good as the gal in the restaurant did.

It was great! I won't be booking through a booking website again though!

I loved the fancy robes, access to old school tv, and everything about the bed. There were so many little details that were really nice too-like a nightlight in the bathroom, cotton swabs, etc.

Cons:

I booked through a booking website and paid the full amount. Then upon arrival, the hotel's system didn't recognize that, so they charged me again. They were able to figure it out and the manager was really kind and helpful...it was just inconvenient. I'm still waiting on the refund to be in my account, and the stay was about 6 days ago (09/26-27).

You overcharged & stole a date of my reservation
Pros:

I am very unhappy with how my reservation rescheduling was handled. By mistake I selected the last weekend of august instead of when i ended up staying there. When I tried to reschedule, the modification fee was as much as making a brand new reservation. I made a new reservation and DID NOT WANT the original date cancelled. But my wife just messaged me that the reservation for the last week of august is cancelled
