Hotel Villas Vilma

What a great location! Very safe and quiet… all we heard were birds in the morning! The pool was nice and quaint. Front desk was very helpful.

A warm and friendly welcome at the Vilma and throughout our 6 days here all the staff have been friendly and helpful.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable overlooking well laid out and interesting gardens. There’s also a nice pool with comfortable loungers.
While breakfast isn’t available there’s a very reasonably priced Soda just across the road which serves good meals all day. There’s a number of other restaurants and bars a safe short flat walk away.
Our only view of the volcano was on the lake crossing part of the highly recommended Jeepboatjeep journey from Monteverde.
The Vilma is ideally placed to get into La Fortuna by an inexpensive Uber 2.5km ride away. It is also close to a number of attractions which the hotel helped us arrange.
As it turned out the weather has been poor with some significant downpours so fortunately despite it being high season we were wise not to book any excursions.
We did enjoy the Bogarin Night Walk which obviated the need to do a Sloth Walk as well, the Don Juan Chocolate and Coffee tour and a visit to the Termalitas de Arenal which while seeming much cheaper than others was good enough for us and the many locals who were there.
As well as the comfortable rooms and facilities of the Vilma given the weather the boon was being able to sit on the covered patio outside our room with a coffee in comfortable chairs as the rain hammered down looking at the lovely flora and wondering what fauna will venture out.

Villas Vilma was fantastic! The pool and hot tub were delightful and clean. The rooms are perfectly situated spotless with so many amenities. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We even saw the volcano for the first time here!
100% would stay here again and recommend!

I had such a wonderful stay at Villas Vilma Hotel in La Fortuna! The amenities were even better than I expected. Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for relaxation. The location was also fantastic; it made it so easy to enjoy all the fun activities and sights around La Fortuna.
A special shout-out to Adriana at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. Her warm hospitality made my stay even more memorable.

Easily walkable to multiple restaurants and shops. Quick drive to all La Fortuna/Arenal attractions The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our room was very comfortable and we appreciated the kitchen area for our snacks, food and beverages.

A good value hotel. The room was very clean room and the pool was great. The grounds were beautiful with a very pretty garden.
It was very useful to have a kitchen area with a sink, filter coffee machine and microwave. The grounds have gated entry so it felt very secure.

Wonderful! Super caring, attentive staff, comfortable stay, and good facilities. The location is also excellent! Would def recommend for families!

The receptionist was very informative and kind! I always got quick responses. The stay was clean and felt safe.

We stayed for 2 nights with our family of 4. The rooms were on the smaller side but they were clean. The room didn’t have any dresser, but had a small closet area. We had to ask for more towels because they gave us 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel (seemed like a common with all the hotels we went to in CR, not enough bath towels for all of us and either some hand towels or some washcloths). We never used the pool but there were pool towels (which we used for showers too) in our room. We also realized too late in the evening (registration is open until 4pm and we realized at 8:30pm) that our room was missing the hair dryer. I messaged their WhatsApp at 8am and one was brought over right away. The room (triple) had a separate area for a kitchenette with a decent sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and some dishes. We enjoyed our mornings outside in the veranda have our breakfast pastries and coffee with a view for Arenal and wildlife. Our animal loving by 8 year old adored the 2 friendly cats we saw on property. My kids also enjoyed the veranda hammock. The hotel is near La Fortuna town and close to the hot springs (we visited Kalambu). We would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, convenient place to stay.

Very spacious rooms, everything you might need is there. I liked to sleep with windows open and listen to the rain. My daughter loved the cats of the property :))) I personally wish the jacuzzi would be hotter

Este hotel es uno de los de gran historia en la Fortuna de San Carlos. Me he hospedado aquí muchas veces, pero las mejoras estructurales, la belleza de sus jardines, la hermosa piscina han sido totalmente mejorados.
Lomas importante: la atención del personal es muy especial, amable y servicial.
Lo recomiendo con mucha alegría.

Tranquilo y comodo

We stayed here for a few nights. Staff were helpful and available even though we didnt ask for anything. Rooms were clean and tidy, shower door didnt latch but not an issue and beds were only ok for comfort. Pool is nice and the area around the villas was beautiful and well kept. There are a couple of sodas/cafes across the road for breakfast and lunch and the main area of town is about a 25 to 30 minute walk.

The grounds are fantastic giving a really nice feeling of being away from everything. Pool is great with fabulous view of the volcano.

Our family of 4 (kids 6 & 3) had a great stay here. We love the hot and cold pools, the daily visit from the touchans, and the incredible view of the volcano. We realized that the kids had the better bed too late. we often woke up soar and tiny pillows. Nothing, some stretching couldn't fix. Felt safe, could park the vehicle right beside our room. Plates, bowls, micro, coffee maker, cups, fridge, lots of towels. Hammock on the porch to lounge in. AC worked well, and there is a fan. Restaurants and souvenir shops, grocery store, all within walking distance. They give you a pass code to enter the front gate. We had a great stay and would return.
