Allson’s Inn was a great choice for me. The staff are very nice, friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is a budget hotel but met my needs adequately. I like the location. Walkable to Ayala Mall. Close to everything else. Lots of transportation options right out the door.
1) Upon my checkin on the 18-6-24 the recieption told me elevator no working I ask them when can it be restore she reply she doesn't know how could this be I seen so many guest climbing staircase.
2) Room condition was bad poor maintainace to no maintainace extreme low water preasuslrr can"t even wash my face I move out on the second day.
Expedia should be aware of this property.
I check the review it was acception.
But actual condition will tell by itself.
Very regret to trust the review.
I enjoyed the view from the roof.
It's simply an old building that hasn't been maintained. When you step out of the hotel, the roads n surrounding structures are in complete disrepair.
A nice inexpensive olderproperty centrally located to Mango Square an Ayala Mall. You do have to pay extra to use the gym that Expedia i.plies is free. You also have to surrender your key to the front desk with each exit and than wait in an always bust line to retrieve your key upon return.
I am very satisfied. I am looking forward to stay again at Allsons Inn in my next travel to Cebu.
Upon check-in, my family was asked for receipts and paperwork like they were trying to sneak into a low-budget hotel for free. Great Allisons’ Inn welcome.
But wait. There’s more.
I tried talking to both of the desk agents and they completely ignored me and refused to even acknowledge my questions. Maybe they are mutes.
Once in the room, there was only 1 bed. The listing stated 2 beds. The linen smelled and looked used and unchanged. This is a recurring trend at this hotel. Check the other reviews.
We were also told that pets would be charged 500p each when the listing says pets stay free.
Update #1: Moved to another room after complaining about the beds and linen.
Update #2: Still charging for pets. It’s called “bait and switch” and Allisons’ Inn has perfected the art.
Update #3: So Hotels.com called on our behalf and were also told 500p per pet, regardless of the listing.
I would rather sleep on a flattened cardboard box in front of 7-11 than either stay here or allow any family to stay here ever again.
Update #4: So upon checkout, the management wouldn’t even entertain the idea of a discounted pet fee. We asked for a split rate. Nope. No. Never.
My final assessment is to avoid this place. Its super cheap, but does that mean you have to put up with this? Does it mean “no customer service?” Does it mean you have to deal with poor “management?” For me, it’s clear the answer is a resounding NO, but you make your own decision.
It was so good. We felt comfirtable. Accessible to transportation.
Good for the money. Location is good too.
The one thing I really really needed was internet in the room. Everything else is gravy. Well there was none. NONE. After a cursory attempt by the staff to correct it we were told. "Sometimes it works, sometimes not. No one else is complaining." I missed several meetings and important e-mails. After 30 hrs. in a plane and airport, and 48 awake I didn't need this hassle.
I booked this hotel because it is just walking distance from our Cebu office and it advertised that it has a gym. It indeed has a decent gym, but apparently, hotel paying guests are not allowed to use it unless they pay for gym use. Which was not clearly stated on the booking websites. I'm actually ok to pay, but unfortunately, the way this message was relayed to me was very unprofessional. The front desk lady just blatantly told me I cannot use the gym. I was a bit surprised on how she informed me, considering that they are in the service industry
Very much impressed in the Philippines for the value of rooms at our under $20.. Hotel was nice, room was very good, location was decent.. Service was excellent
No changing of towels or sheets in three nights. Told policy is every other day but even then we had to request and track down maids. Huge cockroach in shower/bathroom. Very noisy. One roll of toilet paper for three people for three days.
they could stand to change the linens more often. I stayed 10 days and had to ask them to change the sheets.....never did get new towels.
Location is okay if you walk.
Don’t like the deposit they ask for, especially when the room wasn’t perfect when I came. I don’t want to be charged for something I didn’t do.
More amenities like water fountain or microwave for guests
Location close to hospital. Good secure parking with security guard.
I stayed here four years ago and went back again for a total of seven days this time. The price can't be beat, and everything went well. I like the view from the sixth floor balcony, and the Allsons has a gym as well for only 120 pesos - two US dollars. The surrounding area is rather poor, but this hotel is within easy walking distance of two malls and other attractions.
