Alma Hotel & Lounge

We’ve stayed in this hotel about three times a year in the past ten years. Unfortunately it’s no longer the luxury boutique hotel it used to be.
The location is excellent, central, right a few steps from Rothschild Blvd., with public parking (for a fee) in the area.
The property and furniture would need a thorough renovation: torn armchairs, severely deteriorated wooden floor covered with a low-quality patch to hide the damages caused by wear and moisture (especially near the shower), the shower fixed roughly with tape to avoid leaks, peeling paint on balconies.
But the worst aspect is cleanliness: black mold in the shower, a plastic straw tied to a tree branch that overhung a balcony, no cleaning service in the room during our stay (and we stayed four nights!): the receptionist told us their policy is now to clean the room only if guests are staying at least one week, just once mid-week. You can ask for clean towels, but still… no cleaning service in hotel rooms during your stay, seriously? Unacceptable.
Also, the mini fridge has been removed.
The receptionist is present only a few hours a day.
Not worthy a three or four-star hotel.

Room was decorated amazing, the check in was easy and quick, Oriel from the front desk was so kind .
Highly recommended to get there .
Prime location and close to all best areas in Tel Aviv !

Room was very very noisy, on the street without any proper window insolation.
Also very dark and non lite.

Special boutique hotel l, I can't explain my feelings towards this stay.

A war broke out and these guys were great making the best of a situation

One of the best weekends in Tel Aviv, thanks to Alma hotel, great room, super great staff, willing to give service and always listening

I stayed at Alma Hotel for 4 days in late May 2023. Overall, my stay was good. I really liked an interesting 'boutique' atmosphere on this small hotel; a nice room with a comfortable temperature but without a noisy AC that I see in some old hotels in the USA (that is, in Alma, the room is air conditioned and a client is in control of the temperature but it seems to be a quieter technology); its friendly personnel (they answered all my questions about how to use a coffee machine, how to get to the beach, how to order taxi); and its central location - by the Rothschild Blvd with its hotels and restaurants, and only 30 min walking distance (I traveled by foot) to the scenic walkway by the beach and to the beach itself. One downside: The area around the hotel is very noisy because of multiple construction sites; this applies to many other areas of the city. Here, construction happened during night hours; so bring your earbuds when coming to Tel Aviv. Although Alma is not a place with a scenic view, it was comfortable and the central location made it perfect for my "sightseeing" purpose.

Location was great for walking to the beaches. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Great stay. Beautiful and clean and convenient.

Rooms not soundproof

Posizione ottima, camera e bagno spaziosi (suite con balcone).
Siamo rimasti due notti, la stanza non è stata pulita, abbiamo richiesto due volte gli asciugamani alla reception, ma non sono mai arrivati.
Reception molto gentile (un bonus per Sasha), ma degrado nel servizio e nelle condizioni dello stabile, che meriterebbe manutenzione per rimanere l’hotel boutique del livello che aveva prima della pandemia.

Great customer service.

An beautifully restored building from the 1920s in the center of Tel Aviv. The executive room was nicely decorated, but also noisy, dark and without sufficient lighting. The room had an espresso machine but an empty mini bar. There was no other facilities or amenities - no lobby, restaurant or a cafe. The rooms are cleaned only in the late afternoon. During my stay, they had a wedding with loud dance music and I basically had to wander out at 10pm to escape the noise after an exhausting day. Those conditions do not justify the high rates of the rooms.

Grate location, nice room, bad window isolation, very nosy from outside. Not so clean shower, TV doesn’t get the remote, cause it’s too high. The desk girl doesn’t speak Hebrew. There was a party in the garden of the hotel until very late, 23:30 only when we called the police the music was less load, then at 7:00 in the morning they started again. Very high potential for the place - very poor application of it !
