Absolutely nothing
This hotel is a 2 star masquerading as a four star hotel
The rooms have ants crawling around. They place people starting at 7am right outside your bedroom for breakfast who make sleep impossible. The front desk morning person is terrible and not at all service oriented. The evening gentleman is much better. I must admit that I was swayed by their beautiful website in selecting this hotel but it was a big mistake. It has been an unpleasant experience in an exquisite town.
As advertised! Such a friendly, professional and helpful staff who also helped arrange all my tours...can't recommend enough!
This property is beautiful the moment you walk in. Decorated with so many amazing art pieces and furnishings. It's cosy, authentic and stylish.
All the staff were wonderful. Friendly and accommodating, making you feel instantly comfortable.
The rooftop was closed for what I was told were repairs. This was part of the reason I chose this hotel as I really wanted a view. I was disappointed I hadn't been notified and I requested to at least view it but they wouldn't allow it
Just around the corner from Arco de Santa Catalina, this wonderful hotel has a few large rooms centered around either the stunning main or smaller courtyards, the first with fountains, the second a water feature. We have stayed in Room 6, in February of 2025, and in Room 5 this December. Each has a sitting area with sofa and chair in front of a working fireplace, with original artwork from Asia, Central America and other locales on the walls and tables, and oriental rugs on the tiled floors. The linens are crisp and fresh daily and the beds topped with comfy duvets. There are adequate plugs for devices, but not necessarily next to the beds. The WIFI is fast and excellent. The bathrooms are fully equipped, and the showers large. Tall ceilings mean a tall shower for those of you over 6’, and there is ample hot water.
Breakfast is served on linen, just outside your door under the covered patio if weather permits, or in the dining room. While there is a breakfast menu, the cheerful kitchen staff will accommodate requests to mix and match, and it’s all delicious. The coffee was wonderful. Security is monitored from the front office with someone watching the cameras focussed on the street and entryway and answer the intercom located within the entrance and in front of the gates. The front office people can arrange whatever is needed - they work with trusted drivers for both short trips in and around town and longer hauls to Lake Atitlan or Guatemala City and the staff will also make restaurant recommendations and reservations.
The staff speak excellent English and comprise the most cheerful, obliging and helpful group we’ve ever, encountered in decades of travel. My husband jokes that if he could, he would pack up the hotel and take it with us everywhere,
Beautiful room in an atmospheric and tranquil colonial building. I loved relaxing by the water features and leafy courtyards. My room was quiet, very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful (WhatsApping me when my room was ready a little early)l, and the breakfast featured the best hash browns I've ever had! The location is perfect: steps from the Santa Catalina Arch, but the hotel is a peaceful respite away from the hustle and bustle outside.
No negatives!
Great rooms
Friendly staff
Fantastic location
Breakfast was a rush. Ideally should have taken preorders the previous evening
Beautiful property with excellent decoration and in great location. Breakfast and staff awesome.
All wonderful. Maybe a suggestion to have a thermus with coffee before breakfast would be a nice touch.
Great location, yet it was a quiet retreat despite its proximity to everything including the famous arch. The rooms are large by any standard. I loved the double doors opening up into the interior courtyard (not sure this is the case for all rooms, but many I believe it is). I got to have breakfast just out my door in the interior courtyard and I wish I could have lingered longer.
The price is high for Antigua, but given the size and quality of the rooms, I still think it provides a good value. This hotel in the US would be double or triple this rate.

Nothing really. The price was higher than most in the area, but I still felt like it provided good value.
Beautiful colonial architecture, spacious rooms, friendly staff and incredible breakfast - all in the center of town and a couple minutes walk to major attractions in Antigua. Highly recommend.
Beautiful setting in a perfect location. So quiet and relaxing.
Loved everything
