This is my second time choosing Sky Gem Hotel Sora after nearly a year. The room quality still maintains its cleanliness, freshness, and order just as before. The staff remain cheerful and eager to help. There's absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the prime central location
The water pressure at the washbasin (lavabo) was slightly weaker on the days I stayed compared to the powerful water pressure of the shower inside the stall. However, this minor issue didn't affect daily activities much.
The hotel prepared our room very thoughtfully, with neatly arranged bed drapes when they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. The Junior Suite featured a spacious bathtub with good hot water, which was very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The staff always smiled and congratulated us whenever we passed the lobby
The complimentary tea and coffee packets provided in the room tasted a bit weak compared to our preference for bold flavors. Having drip bag coffee would be a wonderful addition.
As an older couple, we prioritize a comfortable rest. This hotel pleased us due to the support of the young receptionists, who always kindly checked on us and gave detailed directions. The room was clean, the air was fresh, and the bed had just the right amount of firmness to avoid back pain. Breakfast was easy to enjoy
The bathroom floor can get a bit slippery when wet with soap sudd. The hotel should equip non-slip stickers or a rubber mat inside the walk-in shower to give elderly guests like us more peace of mind.
Although the Superior room is modestly sized (around 20m2), the furniture layout is smart with no redundant details, giving the room an airy feel. Basic amenities like an electric kettle, tea/coffee, and room slippers were fully provided. The central location made it easy to get anywhere.
Due to the internal-facing design, there is no view of the street, and the window is mainly for ventilation. However, the room was extremely quiet, making it perfect for someone who just needs a clean place to sleep after a long day out.
If you love bars, pubs, or late-night food, this is the perfect spot. Located right in the heart of the Thai Van Lung area, it's just a short walk back to the room after a late night out no need to worry about transportation. The room was clean, the AC was ice cold, and the bed was soft, helping me recharge quickly.
Around 8:30–9:00 AM, I could occasionally hear the housekeeping staff moving carts or talking softly in the hallway. For late-night owls who like to sleep in like me, it might wake you up a bit.
The overall design of the hotel gives off a cozy and sophisticated boutique feel. The Premier External room had a large window looking down at the Japanese quarter, which was very charming at night. Being right in the center of District 1 made it perfect for an afternoon stroll to Nguyen Hue Walking Street.
The elevator moves a bit slowly during peak breakfast hours (around 8 AM to 9AM) when everyone is heading down to the restaurant at the same time, so we had to wait a few rounds to get it.
The biggest highlight of Sky Gem Sora is definitely the attitude of the entire staff. From the security guard parking the bikes to the receptionists, everyone was incredibly polite and always welcomed us with a smile. The room was tidy, and the bathroom stayed dry without pooling water.
Occasionally, the Wi-Fi connection in the room would drop slightly when moving from the bed toward the door, requiring a quick reconnect, though the network speed was fast once connected.
The ambiance at Sora feels very intimate and private. It's located in a highly secure neighborhood with plenty of convenience stores around. No bathtub in our room tier (walk-in shower only), but the space is designed beautifully.
The hotel's location deserves a 10/10; there's everything from Pasteur craft beer to famous Japanese and Vietnamese eateries nearby. The room was tidy, the bathroom had no odor, and the hot water worked flawlessly. The staff always went out to the street to hail taxis for our group.
The power outlets near the headboard were a bit limited. There were two of us with multiple devices (phones, cameras, power banks), so we had to take turns charging or use the desk outlet instead
Our family had a wonderful stay. The hotel was thoughtful enough to set up a baby cot ahead of time upon request. The live cooking station at breakfast serves a fantastic bowl of Pho. Perfect scores for the team's hospitality.
Our family booked two Luxury rooms, and the living space was very comfortable. The staff were highly attentive, proactively arranging adjacent rooms and taking excellent care of the elderly members in our group. The central location saved us a lot of travel time by taxi.
While the buffet breakfast rotated dishes daily, the Western options were a bit limited. It mostly focused on Vietnamese dishes like pho and noodle soups along with a few Asian items. I hope the hotel adds more variety like sweet pastries.
I was initially worried that staying on Thai Van Lung street would be noisy at night due to the bars, but the internal window room I chose was remarkably quiet and shielded from the music outside. Housekeeping did a thorough job, and my personal belongings on the desk were left untouched.
The lighting system in the room mainly uses warm yellow tones to create a relaxing vibe, so if you need bright white light for reading or working, it might feel a bit dim.
位置很好,房間也很乾淨
The room was neatly decorated, modern, and stylish. Our favorite feature was the Smart TV, which connected to the internet perfectly so we could cast movies from our iPad and binge-watch after a night out. The AC cooled the room down quickly without blowing directly onto the bed.
The lobby waiting area on the ground floor is a bit small. During peak hours when multiple groups check in at the same time, the space can feel a little cramped and crowded.
Excellent location an easy walk to Nguyen Hue Walking Street and the Bach Dang wharf. Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the walk-in shower had great water pressure, which was amazing after a long day of walking outside. The staff speak good English and always greeted us politely.
The wall-mounted hairdryer in the bathroom was a bit weak. My hair is long and thick, so it took quite a while to dry completely
The service here completely won me over. Housekeeping does an immaculate job every single day. Great hot water pressure in the shower. The only minor thing is the alley entrance can be a tight squeeze for large vans, but otherwise, everything was flawless.
Wanting a change of scenery, we booked a night here. I was most impressed by the reception staff, who warmly recommended several great cafes and reputable spas nearby. The bed was incredibly comfortable with fresh, clean linens we had a truly deep sleep
The hotel strictly enforces the 2 PM check-in time. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the room wasn't ready yet, so we had to wait in the lobby for a bit. On the bright side, the receptionists served us cold drinks while we waited.
