Pros:

Pros:

I've now stayed at Hideaway on George twice this year, and that probably says everything about how much I enjoyed my first visit!

My brother and I initially stayed in one of the two-bedroom townhouses while visiting Launceston for our mother's birthday. It was such a lovely, comfortable experience, in such a convenient central location, that when I returned in October for my school reunion, I didn't hesitate to book again.

This time, travelling solo, I stayed in the loft, which was equally delightful — comfortable, welcoming and a lovely place to retreat to after busy days and evenings catching up with old friends.

Cons:

My only minor observation was the lack of full-length hanging space in the loft wardrobe, which I hadn't anticipated (although perhaps I missed that detail in the description!). Having brought several dresses for reunion events, I found myself wishing for somewhere to hang them properly. A small consideration rather than a complaint, but perhaps worth knowing if you're travelling with longer garments.

Otherwise, another thoroughly enjoyable stay. Hideaway on George offers a wonderful combination of comfort, character and convenience, and it's certainly become my go-to accommodation whenever I'm in Launceston.

I found the room was really well equipped, clearly, they had a lot of experience with what people needed in the room like 2 sets of cutlery and make up removing micellar water. These were nice touches.

Love the location and the accommodative approach of the reception.
Pros:

We loved the strategic location of Hideaway on George, close enough to all the places on foot and yet in a quiet neighbourhood. The layout of the room was great to accommodate the 3 of us with one king bed and a single bed, yet spacious enough for us. Reception was also wonderful by allowing us to do a self check-in easily, as we arrived rather late in the day of check-in.

Cons:

The soundproofing of the floor could be challenging for light sleepers. We could hear the foot steps of upstairs occupants and along the staircase.
